How to get denim stains out of pink shorts?

I went to a cook out last night, and it poured rain for part of the time. We were jumping on the trampoline, and because I was wearing my favorite, new light pink shorts I got off the trampoline, fearing they would be stained black. My other friends did not, and they also had a little water fight later and got soaked. I did not participate once again (I was also wearing a white shirt:). Later I joined my friends to watch the fireworks, and since their was no room on the bench, I just squashed onto one of my other friend's lap. Her blue jean shorts were still wet, and today my mom discovered denim blue stains all over the butt of my flawless shorts. I am obviously distraught. Do you know of any stain removers that would work to get these out? Or anything I could soak them in? Thank you!
Hmmm I googled beetroot for stains and all the results said how to REMOVE beetroot stains. I don't appreciate that.

What you have is called dye transfer, and it's very easy to fix. Just wash the pink shorts by themselves. Use regular laundry detergent and use the hottest water temperature recommended on the care tag. If you have OxiClean on hand, add a scoop or two of that as well.

This alone will fix the problem. You might have to wash the shorts twice, but a second wash is rarely needed.

You don't need to pre-treat or run out and buy toxic-smelling dye removers. Just re-washing will fix the problem.

You can "lose" weight (not loose) very easily. I lost 25 pounds in 3 weeks by doing this. I got a mini-trampoline from Walmart or Target, jumped on that once a day for about 30 minutes, ate 3 balanced meals a day plus a snack. I drank lots of water, had NO soda or sweets, and dedicated myself for that 3 week period. If you're serious about it, you can do it.

Tips on weight loss, yummy treats?

I have come to the conclusion that I am ready to lose weight, I know some changes that I need to make as drinking alot more water, cutting out the diet pepsi, not eating after dinner, moderation of "good food", and hitting the treadmill. I am very active at work (2 jobs) as I am an LNA and move people that are 3 times my weight, and run myself into the ground. Apparently this isn't enough exercise for me though. Any fun ideas on weight loss, or tasty sweet treats that are also healthy? I would love to kick the ball around with my kids but time with 2 jobs doesn't allow that as much as I would like.

i don't know about fun exercise but i use dumbells in front of the TV or to music which is kinda fun. Also you can buy mini and full size trampolines which are really fun. i have a full size one (round 10ft x 10ft) which kids will love - guarunteed!
i can help you with the sweet treats, as i am attempting to go on a diet but just can't stay off the sweet treats - especially chocolates and cake. i would suggest two of the following...
firstly, chocolate fondue with dark chocolate. dip any kind of fruit in hot melted chocolate - great with kids too!
secondly, you can make rice crispy cakes with puffed rice cereal. There are loads of recipes, but they are very light and have less fat and calories that ordinary cakes!

How to construct my own catamaran style boat...?

For a construction project, a few friends and I have decided that we want to build our on boat that we can fish on or take out on the water. We figured that a catamaran would offer maximum space on deck with the least amount of materials used to build it. However, we are unsure of how to design out boat, what materials to use, and how much it will cost. We also do not know what to make the dimensions of the boat... we figure that it will need to have room for 3-4 people and maybe even a small bar-bee-q grill. We can't really afford to make an actual, fully sizes boat... but a simple and small one should suffice. So does anyone have any information, suggestions, or web links for us to help get started? Thanks

That's quite a project considering you have no idea :-)
A catamaran will be hard to row - at least, for one person. You could have rowers on both sides like a Roman galley. A cat is also hard to trailer unless you make it come apart - it is too wide.
If this is a cabin project you can leave by the lake that's not an issue.

The easiest construction is probably plywood sealed with fibreglass.
There must be plans online.
For 4 people and a BBQ you're probably looking at 20ft. You can get 4 into a 10ft dinghy but that's all sitting down. If anyone tries messing with a BBQ or stands up it will capsize.

It may be easier/cheaper to buy an old secondhand fixer-upper than start from scratch.

If you put an engine on, you will need registration and probably an operator permit.
In any case, there's safety stuff you should have like PFDs and anchors and flares etc. - depends on jurisdiction.

I used to have a 10ft sailing cat that came apart and car-topped it - OK for 2 people lying on the trampoline, not more than that number of adults.

Tricks on the trampoline?

I am bored and want to know how to do some fun things on the ol' trampoline. I don't know any gymnast lingo but i can do front flip, back flip, 180 flip, and lots of others but i need more! can any of you tell me some stuff please?

I used to like to do a frontwards backflip, untill I landed on my a head a few times. Do the back flip but move forward instead a few feet instead of backwards. I also would like to stick a pole horizontally accross the middle, maybe about 4-5 feet up I'd support it with two ladders, and do stuff over that. I liked using pvc pipe, just in case I did land on it it flexed enough to pop out of the ladders, and you wouldn't have stuff crashing down on you. Land on your back, then from that do a front flip, land on your stomach and do a back flip. There's a lot of stuff, but you need to combo them up, to have fun with it. I'd even tie a huge sheet to both my ankles and hang on to the other corners with my hands on a windy day, and let the wind blow me around when I'm jumping on it. Attach a skateboard blank to your feet. I have a built in trampoline, so I'd have water under it sometimes, that's always fun, but it deadens the bounce. Splash Splash. Just be creative!

So me and a few of my friends,(were girls 12 and 13) probably 4 or 5
people, are planning on making a movie! Since we only have 4 or 5 people we
can be more that one person in our movie too.. We want it to be not to
short, about 15 minutes long (it actually really doesnt matter it could be

could use too. every year we have this Halloween party so we have lots of
decorations from that that we could use. like we have these fake tombstones
and fake life size people that are witches, zombies, evil clowns, etc. we
have fake spider webs, strobe lights, huge fake spiders, all that stuff..
also we are videoing at my house, which is in the country. we have a tree
house, creek, 4 dogs, fields all around my house, concrete tunnel with
creek in it and you can walk in it easily, huge forest with a ton of trees
and paths everywhere about half of the paths have Christmas lights along
the side of it, fire pit ( we can start a big fire in it too if we need to
for the movie), big garage/shop, creepy shed, steep muddy hills in the
creek that are safe to slide down but would look cool to fake fall down in
a movie, trampoline, country roads with almost no traffic, only one kind of
close neighbor. Maybe all that will give you some ideas.. we cant really
think of anything good. we just need a main idea and we will get creative
and add stuff (: we have made a movie called revenge of the evil space cow
and we used the tree house. It has a ladder and a stair type of thing and a
porch so we can use that. its kind of big. and the creek goes on forever.
the water is less than a foot deep and we aren't scared to get muddy or
wet.. no yippie girls here (duck dynasty si, ahaha).. we would use the
cornfield behind our house but its short now. one time we make a remake of
Children o

Paint is not the answer. Once dried, there is no smell. But it has no sealant or adhesive properties. However, I liked the idea that I could just spray paint away my mattress leak, so I tried it. Since I couldn't find Krylon H2O paint in Aerobed mattress blue, I went with gray, so my chances of reselling this now unsightly mattress on Ebay are slim to none.

After I moved recently, my king size Aero bed mattress deflated rapidly after being filled. It was unusable for sleeping since it would require hourly refills to keep me from feeling the bed slats.

I removed it from the bed & filled it & listened for the leak & easily located where it was leaking. I should have just patched the puncture & be done with it, but I had already purchased the paint.

After wasting my time & money on many coats of the H2O paint over many days - and even taping over the leak between coats to "help" the paint seal the leak - only to watch the air bubble out again - I washed & peeled off all of the tape & as much of the latex paint as I could from around the leak, deflated the mattress so there was no air pressure on the leak & generously applied Shoe Goo directly onto the punctured area.

I was prepared to add masking tape if necessary, since I did not still have the original patch kit. But 24 hours after I applied the Shoe Goo, I filled the mattress to capacity & it has stayed that way (so far, just a few days).

I've owned 2 of these Aero beds, & over years of daily use, both have sprung a "leak". The Queen sized Aerobed merely had a part of the pump casing unscrewed & once I tightened that, it was fine. The king size was fine until I just recently moved - I think that the movers were pretty rough.

I could be wrong, but I don't think that an Aero bed brand air mattress would tend to have weak seams. My 5 year old neice & 10 year old nephew used my Queen size Aero bed as a trampoline when I took it to Florida for our vacation in 2002. All 3 of us slept on it that week.

If your Aero bed starts to deflate, I would suggest checking the motor area & the deflation cap at the other end first to be sure that both are secure. If so, then fill it up & listen for a leak - try to find & patch the precise leak with the Aero Bed patch kit or Shoe goo.

Worst case scenario would be if your bed deflates & there is no obvious leak. Other than immersing a fully inflated air bed in a still body of water to look for bubbles, (and how do you keep the motor dry?), all I could think to do would be to call a tire repair shop (car or bicycle - or maybe even a place that sells large rafts?)& see if they can help or make suggestions.

Or maybe the Aero bed company could help?

Most sporting goods have them, if you have trouble finding them, go to E-bay, you can find anything there!

Fun thing to put in backyard?

Something that isnt over 300 dollars.
I want something that i can play with family and my dog.
So far i crossed out a trampoline.
It has to be something that i will be able to put up every day.

I have a 60 foot long slip and slide I made myself with a 5 foot slide that I attach a slow running hose to the top. The mat is a thick rubber used for ponds. It was 15' x 30', but I cut it in half to make a 7.5' x 60' long slide. I placed runners under the sides with those foam noodles used for swimming to keep them going in a straight line. For the transition from the bottom of the slide to the mat I placed a boogie board to soften the bump when they land. Talk about all day fun!

I also bought a 10' x 10' bouncy house from Wallmart. It cost about $250. I want to buy one of those mini water parks that blow up and hold water. Comes with a slide, waterfall, climbing wall. There are different sizes to fit your budget.

I'm trying to do the same! Lol. Here are some tips I picked up that could help you:
-Cut out all fast food and junk food from your diet
-5 small meals are better than 3 big ones
-Exercise is better than starving yourself!
-Go brisk walking for 30 mins. (burns about 214 calories)
-Dance actively for 30 mins. (burns about 153 calories)
-If you have a stationary bike, using it for 30 mins. at a moderate pace burns 300 calories
-Burning 3500 calories will make you lose a pound
-But remember not to go under 1200 calories per day. It's unhealthy.
-Drink a lot of water. 8 glasses or more per day will do you good.

Hobie Cat versus normal sailboat techniques?

I am an intermediate sailor, and I have a significant amount of experience on lasers, holder-14's, and 20 ft keel boats. I am now feeling ready to buy my first boat, and have been struck by the speed of the hobie cats. What are the major differences between the two? Is the trampoline uncomfortable to sit on for an extended period of time? What length would be good to start for me? I have seen several 14, 16, and 18 foot hobies within my price range on craigslist.com. I live in Folsom, and so would be sailing on Folsom Lake, where (just guestimating here) the winds go anywhere from 10-25 mph on a lake with about a 4 mile diameter. I can't seem to find a place to rent hobie cats in the sacramento area, does anyone know of one?

All cats are notorious with being hard to tack ( bring bow through the eye of the wind).On a 4 mile wide lake & the high speed of a cat you will be tacking very often ( do the math).. Jibing around an option but hard on equipment. Doesnt sound like very much fun. Bigger water the answer.

I'm planning out my Christmas shopping and I'm looking for input on your little one's favorite (or not so favorite) toys when they were around the 20months to 2 years old age range. My son will be two in February! He's a typical little boy, loves cars, balls, elmo and animals. I've wasted so much money on toys that weren't really his speed in the past. He doesn't really have a whole lot of toys now, I've been saving the money since he seemed to be fine with what he has but it's going to be a nice christmas this year!! I know that we will be getting him his own comfy chair like daddy's and a little tykes climber of some sort but have not decided on which yet.

Any recommendations on what and what not to get for him?

My daughter is 21 months... but one of her favorite toys is her (it's called a "quad" online) mini four wheeler . Its battery operated and she just loves to sit on it and drive it all over the house- not to mention its sooooo cute to see.She also loves her kitchen (all toys like that-pretend play) she likes. She also LOVES her ball pit- she's had it since before turning 1 and she still has tons of fun with it. Although it can get very messy- considering they tend to just throw the balls all over the place. My daughter LOVES to jump, so we were also looking at a mini kids trampoline (inflatable jumper)... If he loves balls... maybe a mini basketball goal?

Or maybe you could look into getting him his first tricycle for his birthday? Thats what I am thinking of getting my daughter.
