Lexie Nels

i like to plan ahaid and im turning 14 in a couple months, im having around 14 girls, and 2 guys. i live in chicago area. i have a trampoline and a swing set in my backyard, is there any places i could have it? i was thinking about renting a big water slide but there all like 700 dollars. i really need help! any themes , places to have a teen girl birthday party in joliet area, or places in chicago to rent a good but reasonably priced water slide?

Answer
I would have a spa- guys and girls would have fun I bet. You can do:
-face masks
-pedicures/manicures
-cucumbers on eyes
and anything fun and have party favors like towels wrapped up as icecream- way cute!
or if you don't like the spa idea, you can come up with any other idea and make it fun! this place has way cute stuff to use as party favors for your birthday : http://www.beau-coup.com/birthday-party-favors.htm
you could do a beach theme:
-have palm trees
-have everyone wear beach clothes
-have a swimming pool!
you could always do a theme on your favorite movie too
you could have a celebrity red carpet theme
Have fun at your party!
P.S -To have a great party you don't need to spend a lot of money

Best kind of water trampolines for a good price?

Kody S

I live on a channel on a fresh water lake and I would like to put a water trampoline out in the water. I don't need a huge one, but I still want a good sized one. It would be used by teenagers and rarely any kids and my oldest sons and their friends that are in their early 20's. So it has to be durable and it has to be able to hold teenagers and adults. I don't want one that only allows us to only have very little people on at one time. AND LIKE I SAID IT WOULD GET A LOT OF USE. So anyways, what is the best brand? What is the best kind? Whats the best one that will fit my needs? I don't want to spend a lot of money because I'm not up at the lake too much but when I am the trampoline would get a good beating. So keep the price as low as possible. Any ideas on water trampolines? Tell me a trampoline and the model that would fit my criteria or give me a link. Thanks and please answer.

Answer
if you're looking for a tramp because of the bouncing part, then forget it. the water dampens the bounce and they really aren't a lot of fun after about 10 minutes. We have a small one and every weekend at the lake I see no body... count em o.... use it. the people to use it are 9, 12, 13, 15 ,16 ,19, years old. they got bored really fast. look at the big tubes. they can be used to float around on + they are towable.

Homemade movie ideas?

Re:
So me and a few of my friends,(were girls 12 and 13) probably 4 or 5
people, are planning on making a movie! Since we only have 4 or 5 people we
can be more that one person in our movie too.. We want it to be not to
short, about 15 minutes long (it actually really doesnt matter it could be
3 minutes, 30 minutes, whatever. i dont care as long as im getting
ideas!:)), and stupid scary. Like, supposed to be scary, but actually funny
and stupid. and we are just doing this for fun. we have lots of stuff we
could use too. every year we have this Halloween party so we have lots of
decorations from that that we could use. like we have these fake tombstones
and fake life size people that are witches, zombies, evil clowns, etc. we
have fake spider webs, strobe lights, huge fake spiders, all that stuff..
also we are videoing at my house, which is in the country. we have a tree
house, creek, 4 dogs, fields all around my house, concrete tunnel with
creek in it and you can walk in it easily, huge forest with a ton of trees
and paths everywhere about half of the paths have Christmas lights along
the side of it, fire pit ( we can start a big fire in it too if we need to
for the movie), big garage/shop, creepy shed, steep muddy hills in the
creek that are safe to slide down but would look cool to fake fall down in
a movie, trampoline, country roads with almost no traffic, only one kind of
close neighbor. Maybe all that will give you some ideas.. we cant really
think of anything good. we just need a main idea and we will get creative
and add stuff (: we have made a movie called revenge of the evil space cow
and we used the tree house. It has a ladder and a stair type of thing and a
porch so we can use that. its kind of big. and the creek goes on forever.
the water is less than a foot deep and we aren't scared to get muddy or
wet.. no yippie girls here (duck dynasty si, ahaha).. we would use the
cornfield behind our house but its short now. one time we make a remake of
Children o

I am trying to lose 23 pounds by September 1st. HELP ME!?

dsfsd

Hi guys. I'm trying to lose 23 lbs over the summer, or at least 10.

My new diet is now three square meals a day- each meal a Weight Watchers microwave diet which consists of 250 calories and 7 grams of fat. I also have a side of fruit here and there, and only drink Tap water or Lemon-flavored, 50-calorie Vitamin Water.

I'm thirteen years old.

And, I cannot ride a bike, run anywhere without getting run over by a car, jump rope(don't know how), or walk anywhere daily, really. I do, however, have a Dance Dance Revolution game(supernova), but I can only do Basic mode, which is one higher than beginner. Will I burn fat this way? How much exercise and what do I have to do to reach this goal? It's really important to me. What are some fun exercises? How much do I have to do? Any dieting tips? I WANT TO LOSE THIS WEIGHT SO BAD. This is my chance.

Help me. Give me advice, fun/effective exercises, tips to stay motivated and consistent, anything at all. Anything.
The more answers, the better! Please help me change my life.
Oh.
Age- 13 years old
Gender - female
height- 5" 5 (expected to be around 5 feet, seven inches as adult)
weight- 172 lbs

Answer
You are doing a great job! Don't forget swimming, even if you can't swim you can hang onto the ladder & kick vigorously. The water acts as super resistance. If a friend has a trampoline,it is also fun and works all major muscle groups.Walking is the best & drinking lotsa water.

One more thing too.Ask where your county's nutrional office is.Free of charge, they will design a food pyramid customed just for you for ages 18 and under.Like having a personal trainer without spending money.

Good luck and let us know if you reached your September goal!

Why do humans always seem to desire MORE, regardless of how little or how much we already have?

Angela

Have you ever been completely satisfied with every aspect of your life?

Even when things aren't perfect, why can't we just be happy with what we DO have?

But isn't it human nature to be in constant pursuit of improvement, progress?

I'm just wondering why I'm not satisfied with my life. Much is lacking, but frankly I'll tell you what I DO have, and why can't I just be satisfied now?? Husband with a fantastic career, stable income, renting a not-too-big, not-too-small house in a middle class neighborhood, soon will be buying the house, surrounded by fantastic neighbors, no crime, excellent schools, two gorgeous healthy children, the most perfect cat we've ever had, we're lacking nothing really. Of course we do haveto budget and we can't just buy every little thing we'd like, so it keeps us appreciative & disciplined. I'm a housewife with a gym membership and I love the gym! I love to mow our huge lawn, and I love to pull weeds, I love to entertain the neighborhood children after school on hot days with our huge inflatable water slide and/or put the sprinkler under the trampoline, and yeah it's a lot of physical labor to maintain that water slide!

My life sounds great, right?!?!

But humans are always in pursuit of forward progress, right? What's lacking here that is invisible to everyone but me is that my husband has absolutely no personality, and he never really did now that I can see as the desperate frenzy of courtship & marriage is 11 years behind us. I honestly never really did like him, but I was so sexually charged when I met him (he was the first man who came along), and my religion recommends marriage for the sake of being civilized. So here we are now.

What else am I lacking? After being a stay at home mom for 9 years I've managed to become ill-adept at keeping up with the pace of the career world. My college education is incomplete, and I've tried to go back. I'm at the end of spring semester right now and it was going well until a couple of weeks ago, and now I feel like a failure and my self-esteem is shot.

But I am beautiful & healthy (sometimes), and even at a flying trapeze class a few months ago one of the apprentice instructors was heavily taken with me. Well he was on the trapeze and I was learning silks, and next thing I knew he was standing 6 feet away from me, watching me. He wasn't trying to hide the fact that he was watching me either. It was just he & I, everyone else was busy at other things. He was standing right at the foot of my silks gazing at me. Then when I was available he spoke to me. He hadn't planned anything to say, it was just as if we were both in a dream. I didn't know what to say, and frankly I've sort of forgotten how to speak over the years of being a mom to two little kids, and a wife of a man who never has conversations with me. So there we were, in a dreamlike moment, two acrobats caught in an unexpected moment of rapture...

He stayed so close to me throughout my class, then the class was over and I didn't know what else to do, so like I always do, I went to the changing room, changed into my street clothes, and went home.

And I continued on with my mundane life as if that enchanting hour had been a dream. Because it really did feel like a beautiful dream. There have been three or four nights I've cried myself to sleep, yearning for joy in my soul, yearning for love, and wondering what if...?
Maja & Paul G, Bravo! Thank you for listening to me, heart & soul...I really want to pick you both as Best Answers and give you exponential points, I wish I could do that!!! So I'll eeny meeny miney moe...randomly between you two.

Oh and to Mr. Blimey, I do not watch television AT ALL...EVER!! for precisely the reasons you stated (and for so many other reasons too), so thankfully my dissatisfaction with life has nothing to do with the TV :)

Answer
Yeah, we only think that we want 'more', and libertarians say that we are free to choose whatever we want, and we all have chance to get anything.

But in the other hand, we don't know actually what is the final goal of it. We don't know when to stop, when it's enough. And we're so unhappy. Many years ago people knew their purpose and now? we only know that it's not the limit.
------

And now I have actually read the whole post of yours. (Sorry, I thought at first it was merely a philosophical question)

I think... well you seem to be trying to persuade yourself that you are supposed to be happy because you have lots of things, family etc. You talked quite a lot about things. And it was so... I don't know, so nice to read then about that event on trapeze. Because you were talking about your experiences. There's so much difference between what we gain by posessing things and what we gain by having experiences (whatever they are, love on trapeze or bungee jumping or whatever).

I feel so strange giving an advice for a woman who has seen probably much more than me while I'm just learning to be one right now. But I just... wish you good luck. Have a lot of these experiences. Learn new things. Change your routine maybe. I'm not saying- change everything but maybe...put some colors in your life:)

I need sweet 16 ideas! We are quite wealthy and i can do pretty much whatever i want!?

MIchelle

My sister had a huge Aladin themed party. She had a belly dancer, a cute monkey who was jumping from person to person, a camel and a donkey in our back yard. She had a huge party tent and a huge $1000 cake. I really want to have a monkey too (just for fun) but i really have no idea of theme. I cant have any famous people though. We are having it in my backyard which is pretty huge with a large pool, hot tub and trampoline. Im thinking about maybe having a giant inflatable water slide. My friend's sister had one for her 19th birthday and it was awesome. So if i had the water slide, pool and hottub, what else can i add to make it awesome? I cant think of any ideas, and if i dont have a great idea, then i wont have a party!

Answer
Here's the perfect sweet 16 idea. Take all the money your rich ass parents are willing to throw away on the party, and give it to charity.

A thousand dollars for a cake, while people starve around the world. Disgusting.

what is cottage life in canada?

water trampolines canada image

elvis

i heard its the best life style

Answer
Cottage Life, aside from being the title of a magazine, involves having a cottage, and spending time there, away from your home. Some Canadians have year-round cottages, but most have seasonal cottages.

My cottage is seasonal. Because it is so far away from my home, we typically get there every second or third weekend, spring through fall, for just 2 or 3 days at a time. Most years that means we only actually use the cottage 15-30 days. But some years, I've been able to stay for the entire summer. A couple of years ago, I lived at my cottage from the end of June 'til the middle of October. This past summer (2009), I stayed at the cottage from August 'til the middle of September.

Cottage life for me is extremely relaxed. I own a small island, and my nearest neighbours are at least a kilometre away, by water. I'm at the end of a closed bay, which is all uninhabited Native/Crown land. It is very quiet and peaceful, save the occasional boat of fishermen.

I wake up in the morning and do this and that before getting dressed. I may go swimming or do some gardening. This summer, I made a habit of sitting out on a lounge chair on one of the decks that overlooks the bay. At 3pm, most of that deck is covered by shade, so it's perfect for sitting out and reading a book. At or around 3pm most days, I'd grab something to read and my Harman Kardon portable iPod docking station, and head out to my spot on the deck. (I have to avoid the sun because I'm very fair.) I carried that habit over to my home, when I returned. I live in a beach house on Lake Ontario and have a rear patio with loungers and outdoor "sofas" right next to the water. Because it was so enjoyable and relaxing at the cottage, I would do my afternoon reading session,s listening to music, back here at home. (I don't know why I never did that before.)

At the cottage, we do some boating (in my case, it's our mode of transportation, as opposed to "pleasure boating"), and have bonfires or barbecues. There's a lot of florae and faunae to observe. If I fished, there'd be good fishing to be had.

When we have guests, they tend to bring out all the toys we never seem to use, ourselves. There's an inflatable water trampoline, a dingy, a canoe, windsurfers, boogie boards, and more. Oh, my husband does spend as much free time as possible in the hammock. (There's never enough free time, though.)

Despite the perception of cottages, there is always A LOT of work to be done. The very nature of a residence that goes weeks, sometimes months, without any tending means the few days you are there are full of chores. There are always repairs to done, the lawn has to be mowed, the lawn and gardens weeded, and any renovations to be planned and carried out. (If I have to haul one more load of lumber to the island, I may give it all up!)

When it gets dark, I tend to retreat indoors, to watch television or a DVD, listen to music, or whatever. I had a late-night visitor this past summer, in the form of a metre-long milk snake. It's the first time a snake has made its way into the cottage. I spotted it slithering towards the television, one night. I like snakes, so I was mostly consumed with getting pictures of it. I was pretty excited. Too bad my husband was back at home, at the time. He always misses all the cool stuff.

Well, I'm sure that's TMI. ;-)

In short, having a cottage is nice, although it is a luxury, and expense and, at times, seems like more of a hassle than it's worth. But when I'm there, I wish I could stay longer.

Competitive gymnastics+workout tips?

Fell

Okay, so this is rather complicated. PLEASE READ IT. PLEASE. At least answer one of them!!
Problem 1:
My friend, she's 14, is currently on Orange in the CanGym program, or advanced rec. She really wanted to do competitive but she tried out at three clubs and didnt make any of them, not even P1. They all said she wasn't skilled enough and too old, since the lowest level, P1, had kids ages 9-12 at the oldest. Now, because she was rejected, she wants to tryout for T&T but she doesn't know if she's good enough. She can execute all the basics (cartwheel, handstand, walkovers), a roundoff backhandspring with a slight spot, back tuck off a box and back tucks on tramp. In Alberta, Canada, would you think that she would make T&T competitive? And what level, if she did? She really loves gymnastics and was stressing out and depressed about this. Oh, and this really is my friend (no yahoo account), I am a P3 gymnast, but no idea how to help her.
THANKS:)
Problem 2:
Kay, so I, on my coach's orders, have to do a planned workout everyday. Run for 10-20 minutes, increasing either in speed or distance, routine stretch for 15 minutes, a break for 5, 3 sets of 25 push-ups, 30 second break and water, 3 sets of 50 sit-ups, 30 second break, 40 lunges, 40 squat jumps, and a five minute cool down run/stretch. So I am also 14, 5'2 and about 115 pounds. I am now pretty weak and I have a layer of fat due to the fact that I was pulled out of gym for 8 months, which is why I have a workout I need to do. I have been skipping the 10-20 min run cause I live where there are no flat grounds and because it is so icy outside, it is near impossible. Going to a nearby gym doesn't work either cause my parents refuse to take me. So is there anything I can do to replace the run, but still takes the same effect on my body? Same with the 5 min cool down. Also, I have been doing this workout for about 2 weeks but haven't seen any improvements. In fact, I think I am getting more fat and my muscles are staying the same. Why is this? Also, if you have any other workout suggestions (like weights, different sets, diets that would fit my situation cause i am clueless on that, etc.), feel free to suggest them. Don't say that I am already fit and don't need all this, because I do. Strength is essential to gymnastics and fat just slows you down.
THANKS:) sorry you had to read all of this!!
Much appreciated!!

Answer
If you know what these are...
I do...as a gymnast at a level equivalent to level 8 USAG...

100 V-Ups
50 pull ups
50 chin ups
Frog jumps on the vault runway for 10 laps
One legged hops (alternate each lap) 10 -5 laps per leg
Climb the rope
Run a mile (32 laps around the floor)
Handstand push ups (100)
Handstand walks - 2 (go there forwards, backwards on the way back)
Arm dips on the parallel bars (50)
Leg dips of the beam keeping your heel flat (5 laps there and back)
Seal walks (feet on a paper plat in push up position and go forward across the floor and backwards back) - 8 laps
Attempt ten full ups (pull up all the way to front support on bars)
Kill jumps on the trampoline (Jump as high as you can in one jump then stop in a squat {not to deep of a squat})

Those are just some options
I'm on JOGA...(jersey optional gymnastics association in nj)

Hope this helped

Jobs for 13 year olds in North Carolina?

water trampolines sale on Water Trampoline - $500 (lampe mo) for Sale in Springfield, Missouri ...
water trampolines sale image

Number 8

Hi, I'm 13 and in NC, I really really want a job.
I am trying to get some extra money to spend at disney when we go in a few months.
are there any types of jobs I can do?
Besides babysitting and mowing lawns, where I live there aren't a whole lot of people or lawns to mow.

Do I have to be 14 years old to get a job? or could I get something like bagging groceries for tips or anything like that?

Answer
Some ideas for you:
Shovel snow off driveways, porches, mailboxes, trampolines, off stuff in the yard like dog houses, boats, etc.
Dig up gardens so they can be planted.
Walk dogs.
Fill in for a newspaper delivery person who is on vacation.
Water plants for people who are out of town.
Baking cookies or cinnamon rolls for people. Take orders and then deliver them.
Or ask a store that does not sell food, (or some other event) if you can have a bake sale table.
Or sell food to friends after school. Everybody is always hungry then.
Help mothers clean house or do laundry.
Tutor kids in reading or math.
Help mothers put on birthday parties.
Organize a movie day, with food, where parents can pay you to watch their kids on days that school has been canceled, but parents still have to work.
Ask everyone you know if they have any "odd jobs" you can do for them. They may not be able to give you a "real" job, but they may be able to find wood that needs to be moved, parking lots that should be swept, windows to wash, gardens to clean out before being planted, etc.
Take a look around and see what kinds of things people don't like to do (the jobs that they usually put off for last), what kinds of things they don't have time to do, and offer to be hired to do them.
See what people are spending their money on, and see if there is a way that you can provide some of that product or service.
Good Luck and have fun!

Did you buy your pet dog from a Breeder, or Pet Store, or animal shelter, or neighbor had puppies?

CAMILLE

How much did you pay for your dog ? What kind of dog and his/her name?

Answer
Bought our dog from none of the above. It took quite a bit of doing to get our dog. First off, we live in kind of a wooded subdivision and there used to be dogs running loose, and I'm sure that SOME of those dogs were shot.

I started with a bulldozer and graded our backyard; then I told my son we needed grass, so I bought a power seeder and we planted, fertilized and watered to get a lawn. Then I put up a fence, and the day the fence was complete I told my son he should try to find a dog.

We went to a local Pets-R-Us store and he found a dog he liked, but we had to fill out a written application for how we would TREAT the dog, and I guess they either didn't like the fact that we already had a cat or that we wrote that the dog's home would generally be the backyard, not the house....Whatever we said, we failed to meet their criteria, because they never called us.

A few days later, I picked up a newspaper and told my son to look under pets and find a dog. By now, we were praying sincerely to find a dog. My son had a beautiful fenced in yard with grass and trampoline and trees to climb and a swingset, but no dog. He called these people who had "American Eskimo" puppies for sale. My son seemed excited and wanted me on the phone. I got on the phone and asked the man "what is the breed known for?" He responded "Nothing. They are just lovable little furballs."

We drove over to their house and met them and David picked a puppy. We gave them $50 down, I don't remember if the dog was $350 or $450, but he has become priceless. I told my son he should try to find an Eskimo name for his Eskimo dog, and he went online somewhere to the University of Alaska or someplace where they have a drop-down Inoupia (Eskimo) dictionary. (I'm probably murdering the spelling, but anyway, the Eskimo name he found was "Ixa" meaning "friend" in Eskimo language.

This dog has been perfect for my kids. He DOESN'T bark needlessly, but NO ONE can walk down the street without him yapping. He is rather smaill, about 25 pounds, but HE doesn't know that; he is totally fearless and will bark ferociously at dogs 4 times his size. He is VERY protective of my kids, but gentle and loving TO them. He is pure white, unfortunately longhaired, and an absolute chick magnet.

EVERY time my son walks him, all the girls (regardless of age) just ooohhh and ahhh over him, which is kind of funny, because he doesn't really LIKE girls nearly as well as he enjoys boys company.

His one drawback is his HAIR. He sleeps in a kennel in the kitchen, but sometimes when the sun shines in the living room, you can see his hair floating in THERE. My poor wife vaccuums frequently under the kitchen table, but it usually looks like pigs live here because the dog is SUCH a fur factory. He IS a perfect watchdog, because he WILL bark and get my attention, and I'll address any threat (I am most certainly lawfully armed in my own home).

We will be going in August of 2010 for 8 days/7 nights. We would like an all-inclusive resort that does not allow children, and of course lots of beautiful white sand beaches.

Answer
Free of children is a tough one. Don't go to a well visited place. Check out Dreams Huatulco Spa and Resort. Awesome awesome resort. You will be treated like royalty, best all inclusive with 5 restaurants, 5 bars and the food is great and unlimited premium beverages. Many activities are also included in the price including bungi jumping, water trampoline, water/beach volleyball, olympics, frisbee, football, soccer tennis, archery, kayaking, too much to list. You will enjoy it so much. You can get a great deal on this resort just watch prices. October is the cheapest month to vacation, enjoy! We visited this place and although not kid free, we did vacation with encounter 1 child in the whole resort but not guaranteed. The good thing is this is a gem and not many people know about Huatulco, the weather is absolutely amazing...very warm so if you don't like the heat it will not be the place for you. This place is very romantic. Beaches are gorgeous, not all white but light brown with white, AMAZING. We've been to Cancun too and this topped it by far!

How to lose weight in an apartment?

Dr. J

I am homeschooled and I have recently become overweight. I am about 5"0 at 136 pounds. We live in an apartment and I can't really go around much in this neighborhood. There have been some crimes recently and we live next to a train station and a highway. My parents won't take me to a gym and we don't really go much anywhere. My dad SOMETIMES takes me to go on a bike ride, but that's once in a blue moon. I need to lose weight. I am only a kid, so I don't know how to exercise. I used to be really active and skinny, but ever since we moved here, I can't do much. Please help. Don't bother and waste my time if you have insults or ridiculuous idiotic things to say. Only people who want to help me. My idea to lose weight would be about 20 to 30 pounds, and I want a six pack. Please help. Any ideas of how to lose weight accepted, except insults.

Answer
Apartments.com has a great area of their website you'll probably like a lot. Apartment Living has tons of exercise articles, check this one out.

Working Out in Your Apartment
Turn your apartment into a fitness factory! You donât even need to buy a home gym!

Depending on your goals and preferences, you might want to buy one, or more, of the following items:

Jump rope (high intensity cardio)
Mini-trampoline (mid-intensity cardio)
Exercise DVD (for those who like guidance and motivation)
Free weights or an exercise band (strength training)
Exercise ball (core strength)
These items are inexpensive and can add to your workout but theyâre really not necessary. Read on for tips on improvising and creating your own routine.

Cardiovascular Exercise
This type of exercise increases your heart rate and tones your muscles. Here are some suggestions:

Jog in place and do jumping jacks.
Jump rope (start slowly as this is very high intensity).
If you have stairs, run up and down or use only the bottom step to jump on and off, using both feet.
Do old-fashioned aerobics (think 80âs dancing). Aim for at least 20 minutes and make sure your heart rate is elevated.
For a more effective calorie-burning routine, alternate five minutes of cardio with one of the strength exercises below until youâve worked every muscle group. This is called circuit training and should keep your heart rate elevated. When your heart rate remains high throughout your exercise time, you burn more calories.
Strength Training
Compliment your cardio routine with strength training. Strength exercises are necessary for a complete workout. Building muscle raises your resting metabolic rate, which means you burn more calories throughout the day. If you arenât into the big and bulky muscle builder look, donât worry about it. Itâs pretty much impossible for you to get that way without incredibly intense training and supplements. Follow this full-body plan 2-3 days a week for the best results.

Arms - You can either purchase an exercise band (about $10 at a retail store), free weights (prices very by weight) or fill up a milk carton with water or sand until it reaches your desired weight. Do 12-20 repetitions of bicep curls, tricep dips and shoulder raises.

Chest - Get on the floor and do some old fashioned pushupsâas many as you can do without losing your form. Start on your knees if youâre a beginner. Also do a press with your band or weights. Lie on the floor and hold a weight in each hand. Lift them straight over your chest and lower slowly. (12-20 reps)

Back - Stand with your feet hip-width apart and bend forward. Grasp a weight, or a weighted object, in each hand and hold your arms out in front of you with a bend in your elbow. Use your back muscles to lift the weights to shoulder length and lower slowly. (12-20 reps)

Legs Squats - Stand up straight with your back against the wall and bend your knees until they are almost parallel with the floor. (12-20 reps)

Lunges - Stand with one foot 2-3 feet in front of the other. Bend both legs as low as you can without allowing your front knee to go over your toes. Keep your back straight the entire time. (12-20 reps)

Abs - Do 25-50 traditional crunches on the floor. Lie on the floor and put your hands behind your head gently. Lift your head up, not forward and focus your eyes in front of you. Hold in your stomach muscles the entire time and breathe after every crunch.

Toning/Flexibility
Every workout needs a stretching component so that your well-toned muscles can look their bestâand not cramp up at work the next day. There are myriads of different stretches but here are a few you can do to keep limber:

Purchase a stretching video: Dim the lights and make it a relaxing experience.
Do yoga: This can be a workout in itself. Look for a book or video on hatha yoga, the style that focuses on stretching poses.
Recall your basketball team days: The warm-up and cool-down exercises you did as a high school athlete are still useful today.
Now donât you feel better? Try to get in a workout 4-5 days a week to really notice a change in your body and energy level. Now your only problem is the neighbors below youâ¦be courteous and workout during daytime hours so that youâre not getting angry knocks on your door mid-crunch!

what countries have athletes in every olympic sport?

I just want to know what countries, if any, have athletes entered in every possible competition.
I just want to know what countries, if any, have athletes entered in every possible Olympic competition.
What a bunch of garbage answers! From just guessing to off topic to telling me to figure it out by giving me an Olympic link. Maybe I accidentally posted in the elementary school Q/A area? If you don't know don't waste the space/time!

Answer
I would absolutely definitely say it is China. China is in all sports in this Beijing Olympics Games 2008 as well as being the host nation. For this Beijing Olympics Games 2008 in joint second place in the number events that a nation is taking part. I would say it is the USA and Russia. In third place I would say it is Australia and Great Britain. In fourth place I would say it is Germany and in fifth place I would say it is Canada. In sixth place I would say it is Brazil.

This is a crystal clear historical statistical question in the making!!!!! First question we all need to ask is... how many Olympics Games events are there in total? Once we know that and then we can add up the total amount for each country participating in various events. Then we know the ratio for each country. Second question we need to ask is why countries only enter into these sports but no other sporting events? Is it the sport they have the best chance of winning, is a question of money, is it the only sport they know in their country, is it they have not qualified for that sporting events, is it cultural reasonings, is it political, is it social, is it physical, is it indirect prejudice, is it a question of top facilities and world class facilities and others.

For example I totally agree that the African Nations have not enter any athletes in Gymnastics, Sailing events, Cycling events, Rowing events and even the basic Swimming events. Maybe they do not have the top Sporting Facilities and top World Class Trainers to train them all. Is it basically the question about money and proper facilities. I would like to see many countries throughout the world to participate in many events in the future Olympic Games yet to come.

http://results.beijing2008.cn/WRM/ENG/Schedule/index.shtml

By checking the schedules section of the Beijing Olympics Games 2008, I can calculate in total - there are 302 Gold medals to be won in other words there are 302 events in total. As well as there are only 38 Olympics Games Sporting categories of which 302 Gold medals can be won.

There are 47 events in Athletics. There are 34 events in Swimming. There are 18 events in Wrestling. There are 15 events in Weightlifting. There are 15 events in Shooting. There are 14 events in Rowing. There are 14 events in Judo. There are 14 events in Gymnastics Artistics. There are 12 events in Canoe/Kayak - Flatwater. There are 11 events in Sailing. There are 11 events in Boxing. There are 10 events in Fencing. There are 10 events in Cycling - Track. There are 8 events in Taekwondo. There are 8 events in Diving. There are 6 events in Equestrian. There are 5 events in Badminton. There are 4 events in Table Tennis. There are 4 events in Archery. There are 4 events in Cycling - Road. There are 4 events in Canoe/Kayak - Slalom. There are 4 events in Tennis. There are 2 events in Basketball. There are 2 events in Beach Volleyball. There are 2 events in Cycling - BMX. There are 2 events in Cycling - Mountain Bike. There are 2 events in Football (Soccer). There are 2 events in Gymnastic Rhythmic. There are 2 events in Trampoline. There are 2 events in Handball. There are 2 events in Hockey. There are 2 events in Modern Pentathlon. There are 2 events in Synchronized Swimming. There are 2 events in Triathlon. There are 2 events in Volleyball. There are 2 events in Water Polo. There are 1 event in Baseball. There are 1 event in Softball.

The smaller countries have very small or a tiny chance winning any medal because the large countries like USA, Russia, China, Australia, Canada, Germany, Brazil and Great Britain winning all the Gold medals in the Olympics due to their larger sporting populations and have a wider choice of selection of the sporting population and sporting events. It is really cater for their larger sporting populations and richer countries. The other countries do not have a chance at all and do not cater for sports for the poorer nations. For example the nation of Vietnam which plays the sport of Sepaktakraw and won it in the Asian Games. India another country which has very large population and even bigger than China population now but plays the sports of Kabaddi which was play in the Asian Games and also won it. India is also good in Cricket. Why is it - you do not see any Indian Subcontinent countries winning anything in the world largest sporting event - The Olympics as well as no Indian Subcontinent Asian person achieveing anything in any sporting events. There are many races and there are many ethnic groups or ethnic minorities - African, Afro-Caribbean, Chinese, Arab, South American, Hispanics, Slavs, Europeans, Japanese, Korean and others which are totally succeeding but none at all from the Indian Subcontinent which is absolutely shocking. Something has to be done as soon as possible because it is totally bad for the World Development and the World Civilisation. I feel that the Indian Subcontinent has been left out in all this, maybe isolated from all this and have been neglected totally.

If u wer building your dream house & had an unlimited amount of money, what rooms and features would u include?

Stephen

If you were building your dream house, and you had an unlimited amount of money, supplies etc. what rooms would you include? how big would it be? Would you have any cool gadgets? Would you have a river/lake outside so you could have a water trampoline? would you make any "Special" rooms (if you catch my drift 18+)

so tell me, what sorrta stuff would you include?

Answer
I would build the structure with reinforced concrete on a hill side with a panoramic view of the Ocean and a city in the distance.. I would have a helipad and a small runway for light planes to land.. The structure would be 25% underground offering shelter in the most adverse circumstances. There would be underground tanks for water, fuels, and other stores.Generation of electricity would be achieves through solar, wind, gas turbine and other back up fuels. The underground area would have escape tunnels and pathways to the ocean.. The second tier would be for living, entertaining, cooking, swimming in a solar heated pool.. and state of the art entertainment in all areas linked via Satellite and wireless systems throughout the complex.. The third tier would have a balcony that viewed for miles from each of the 14 bed rooms and Party lounge.. Another pool would be set in this area complete with state of the art kitchen and gymnasium.. The 4th tier would be "The Palace suite.. Like a private executive area reserved only for you.. Complete with self containment and roof top heli pad the observatory would be placed on a spiral tower with the finest telescope mounted in darkness so we could view the stars.. The grounds stretched out below would be old English style.. Green lawns with lots of flower beds and a long and twisting stone driveway that sat behind a 20ft stone wall imitating the greatest wall of all. The great wall of China..
