Which one is the best tertiary business idea?

Q. An outdoor toy hire company - hiring out sumo costumes, inflatable wrestling rings, trampoline hire etc...
Or a british football and rugby stadium tours company, taking people from london all over the country to visit a stadium, meet the chairman etc...

If anyone finds this idea incredible, then i allow you to make yourself a nice little nest egg from my amazing imagination lol. Just kidding

Which do you think is the best? This is for my business studies coursework?

Answer
The first one.

With the second, you are working on the schedule of others. You have to be on good terms with the people and places you are touring. Often they are not available (stadiums, chairmans, etc) and your business would suffer during these times. Not to mention the high business insurance costs you would pay for escorting clients around the city in a vehichle.

With the first, you are renting goods not services. It would be easier and cheaper to obtain insurance as well. You would have higher start up costs because you would need to obtain all the inventory. But with great marketing and regular clients, I think it would be more profitable and there would be a lot of room for growth.

What is a good name for my new business?

I am opening a new business that is a kid spot. It has inflatable bounce houses, trampolines, putt putt, swings and slides, games, candy room, and it will be used to host birthday parties. We have several private themed rooms for parties such as pirate, princess, cars, etc. We also will allow open play to public anytime there is no scheduled party. What are some ideas for a good company name?

Answer
I would suggest you look through existing amusement park names for inspiration.

What are the best places to take a family with young kids on the southern Oregon coast?

Brandi C

I have two daughters, almost 3 and almost 4. We will be moving to the southern Oregon coast. I am looking for stuff to do in and around Brookings, Gold Beach, Port Orford, Bandon, Coos Bay and the surrounding areas. The cheaper the better, but we're willing to pay for cool stuff. We're looking for great places to hike, good beaches, good parks and other attractions. We're also looking for family friendly restaurants or cools shops. We'd also love to find a place where the girls could ride model trains. There's a great train park in Medford and we'd love to find one on the coast. We're on a budget so we're not looking for anything expensive, just cool stuff to do on our days off. THANKS!!!

Answer
If you're in Coos Bay there is a great place for young kids called "Outdoor Inn". They have an indoor inflatable jumpable and several of the larger plastic castles for the kids to climb and play in. They also have quite a few of the push cars to ride on. Little ones outgrow this part of the facility by about 6-7 years old, but for your girls, it's perfect. Cost is about $2 a day per child when last I checked. I found a youtube video of the facility which shows you what it looks like
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=V9Lbl2aP5Zw
The business is located on 4th Street in Coos Bay, just two blocks off Highway 101.

Another good place for kids in the area is the West Coast Game park which is 7 miles south of Bandon on the Oregon coast. This wildlife park bills itself as the largest petting zoo in the United States with over 450 animals and birds.
http://www.gameparksafari.com/

Here is another good site which lists things to do an see in this area: http://www.oregonduneskoa.com/oregoncoast.html
For girls your age, I recommend the South Slough National Estuarine Research Reserve and the tide pools at the end of Cape Arago highway. You might also look into Gymnastics Plus in Coos Bay, which is located at the Boys and Girls Club. They offer frequent children's classes in gymnastics and have a lot of fun toys and trampolines for the girls to play on. Prices are very reasonable.

As to places to eat, Outdoor Inn serves a wide variety, but you might also look at Dave's Pizza in Coos Bay, Denny's Pizza in Coquille and any of the Kozy Kitchen restaurants in Coos Bay, North Bend and Myrtle Point. I'm not as familiar with the towns to the south, but I'm sure you will find all are kid friendly and enjoyable.

Here's a great list of our local activities - many of which would be fun with kids:
http://www.visittheoregoncoast.com/home.cfm?dir_cat=15359. Don't forget to ask when the various local Christmas programs are in any of the towns - most have some kind of free celebration, with petting zoos, free photos with Santa, arts and crafts - even treasure hunts occasionally. All great fun.

Is it lame to have a sweet 16 luau party, in your backyard, without a pool?

ECHAN

I am looking for a cheaper alternative for throwing a big party. I want it to be fun &memorable but at the same time I don't want to bankrupt my parents in the process:) My party would probably be the beginning of September so, the weather could be rainy, and I would like there to be about 60 people.

I was thinking it could be an inside/outside party with lots of food and games. I do not have a pool, which kind of makes me think a luau party without a pool isn't a good idea.

The activities would be including: xbox, dancing, eating, volleyball, limbo, trampoline, movies playing inside &more.

I would greet every guest at the door with leis, to make sure everyone knows how much I appreciate them coming to my party.

I would have a ton of decorations around the yard and in my house including:
personalized banner
lanterns/tiki torches
inflatable palm trees
flowers
beach balls
candles
streamers
pineapple centerpieces
balloons
etc.

For food, I would have a hollowed out watermelon to hold fruit salad, mock-cocktails, Hawaiian pizza, &the usual chips, candy, etc. I would put the food in sand buckets, instead of just bowls.

Some other ideas I was considering is a photo backdrop so I can have a lot of memories from this party and possibly hire a DJ, a local band, or just stick to a play list I make. Both of those might not be possible, but they are in the air.

My whole party theme and location is still undecided at the moment and I really don't want it to be a lame party, so any ideas and your honest opinion would be greatly appreciated:) I want everything to be perfect on my special day.

Answer
Your party sounds great and well thought out. We have had a luau party without a pool. Not everyone has a pool in fact most people don't. So have your party and your friends will have so much fun!

Husband is getting deployed! Fitness goals for 9 months?

water trampoline utah image

Breanne

My husband is getting deployed next month, and I am wondering of ways to pass the time! He will be gone for nine months!
I am overweight, so I plan to lose weight while he was gone. But, I want to know what a realistic goal would be! I've never been vert physical, so I don't know how much I can lose, or what I would have to do!
I need like a fitness plan for the time period! Is there somewhere I can go or a website to use?
I will be living in Utah..

Oh, and I am 19 years old.. 5 feet 5 inches, and I weight 199.4 pounds! I used to weigh 120! I want to be as light as possible by April, so anyone who can help me figure out how to get that way, please let me know!!
Email me if you have any questions or anything you can suggest to help!! Thank you in advance!

Answer
You should weigh 120 so losing 80 lbs in 9 months will be easy with will power and this low-carb food/exercise plan:

Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a big pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Add low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on whole grain bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit: banana, orange, apple, kiwi, grapes, peach, nectarine, cherries, pineapple. No chips and nothing ever from a vending machine.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.
Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.

Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers.

Foods to avoid: junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, sugar, salty foods, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream, soda, chips. And of course no tobacco or alcohol in any form. Both of those add wrinkles and destroy your brain. No oil except olive and mac nut. Coffee also rots your brain.

To keep your skin clear, drink water. Veg. juice is good too. But not canned juice (too much sugar.)

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches.

If you lack energy, take Super B complex. Try appetite suppressants.

I need help with packing! even tho i travel lots!?

City Ni

okay, so i am going to a water ramps camp in Utah with some people from my ski team. here is what i need to bring.
life jacket
swimsuit and boardshorts
wetsuit
sunblock
athletic shoes
warm clothes (for after jumping cuz the pool is cold)
athletic clothes (for trampoline training)
sunglasses
pajamas
extra clothes for hanging around
extra shoes
and stuff to do on the plane
I have never gone before and i need to know about how much space this will take up. I am a 13 year old girl and i need help packing :)

Answer
Put everything together, put it in suitcases or bags you have laying around and measure. Mostly you can borrow a suitcase for this from a family member or friend, certainly if you do not need it for the real travel.

I think you need to start with your gear, the life jacket and wetsuit, and the warm clothes. I guess that those will mostly fill a fair size suitcase.
You can than fill the corners and other empty spots with your swimsuits, shorts, underwear and so on.

If you are restricted to one suitcase only, you may need to put the rest of your gear in a backpack and carry that on the plane. In that case you should restrict your 'extra clothes for hanging around and extra shoes' to the absolute minimum.
If you can check in two suitcases, make sure they both fall within the size limits, that might mean that you have to put your wetsuit in a different case than your life jacket.

The stuff to do on the plane needs to be in your hand luggage, and should not be too much. Bring an Ipod or MP3 player. A game, which can be an electronic hand held one, like a gameboy, but also a pack of cards. And a book.
And bring a diary and a camera, you may want to buy one of the waterproof one time use camera's, so you can also use it on, in and around the water.
Put your toilet bag in your suitcase, in it you need at least soap, shampoo, tooth brush and paste and a comb. If you have long hair, put a hand full of hair ties in it too.

I think the camp will be a blast, have fun.

How can I drink 32 cups of water a day?

water trampolines cheap image
Q. I'm trying a new diet where you actually drink 32 cups of water the first day, and this is actually 4 times what I usually drink. How can I do this? Thanks!

Answer
Get a 64 oz. container, fill it with water and add a little apple juice for flavor.
Drink an 8 oz. glass every hour for 8 hours.

Hereâs a good low-carb food/exercise plan:

Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine.
Fruit smoothies.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Avoid junk food, fast foods, pastries, desserts, anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar), gluten, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (itâs lard + chemicals), soda (loaded with toxins), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells) and coffee (carcinogenic). No oil except olive and mac nut.

To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, unsweetened veggie and fruit juice.

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches.

For more energy, take Super B complex.

Whats the best way to go about digging a hole for a trampoline?

God Jr.

I have an 8x12 rectangular trampoline (about 3 1/2 feet high) and I want the jumping surface to be flush with the ground. I live in the tampa bay area of florida about 4 miles from the water. I plan on this being permanent, and safe. I am concerned with drainage. I dont want it to become a mosquito trap. so my sub-questions are:

Will I need to use railroad ties and/or other type of reinforcements to prevent cave-ins? Like a log cabin built inside a hole? Hopefully a simpler, cheaper solution is possible.

Is any extra drainage system needed or will it just soak in to the ground?

What is the best way to dig this, with a shovel and a lot of time? I cant afford a backhoe, and even if I could, there is no way to get large equipment in there.
Thanks

Answer
Digging by hand...WOW...it's gonna take a while. You're talking 112 cubic yards of dirt hauling...not to mention where are you gonna put all of that!?!?
You would need to line the walls with either cinderblock or railroad ties and rebar to prevent cave-ins. So you're talking about digging 9x13x3-1/2 feet to make room for the blocks or wood to shore it up.
Maybe you can dig the hole about 1/2 the depth you need and use the dirt you take out to build a dirt ramp all the way around it. You could sow grass seed on it and it would just become part of the yard.
You might talk to a home improvement place or look online for similar ideas.
Maybe you could call some excavating businesses and ask if they do free quotes. Call two or three, get a free quote, and find out what exactly needs to be done. You could pose the question of drainage to them also.
Sorry I wasn't more help.

Neither my husband nor I use our swimming pool in SoCal and it's expensive to maintain. Would any harm be done if we drained it, maybe covered it, and built a deck over it? Could a future owner reclaim the pool if they wanted to?

Answer
Be sure leaves, rats, & snakes can't enter to make a home
in the void.
Also would need a sump pump to take care of water accumulation. Don't want a mosquito breeding area.
And yes it could float up while sitting empty.
Another option would be a solid winter cover, looks like a trampoline.

What is the natural way to treat the tonsillitis or what i am to do?

Itachi Nin

i have a tonsillitis its really hurt aw.

Answer
Tonsillitis can be very frustrating. The tonsils are part of the lymphatic system in our body. As we age, they dissolve away, but are there for a reason. The lymphatic system does not have a pump like the circulatory system (has a heart) and so it relies on movement and a type of one way valve to move the lymph out of the body. The lymph contains lots of garbage, but when you have an infection somewhere in the body, you can get tonsillitis. The "itis" at the end of the word indicates infection.

Please understand that most drugs are designed to block something, suppress the immune system, etc. to achieve the result. This is contrary to healing, but we have come so dependent upon the idea that taking a pill to relieve pain is good that we seem to have forgotten that our bodies are designed to do the healing, but in many cases not without some discomfort.

Supporting your immune system to allow it to do it's job, changing your diet to support good health, will go a long way to keeping you from getting this problem in the future. Doctors treat symptoms with drugs and do not understand nutrition or how to build good immunity, etc. Antibiotics, vaccines, and drugs all tear down the immune system. That is not health building.

One thing that can really help the tonsillitis is to gargle with salt water. Salt binds to the germs and helps remove them from the throat. Coconut oil is also wonderful to take because it contains lots of caprylic and capric acid that kills virus, bacteria, and fungus. You can also put hot packs of castor oil on your throat. Get some castor oil and apply it to the outside of your throat and then put hot wash clothes on that until it gets cool and repeat for about 1/2 hour.

If you have a rebounder (small trampoline), you can get on that for about 20 minutes and on your toes, jump on it (don't have to get air), but just enough to move the ankles back and forth. That causes the lymph to flow and will help your body remove the toxins causing the problem.

EDIT: Great suggestion ANNIE.

good luck to you

What are some fun things to do over the summer?

Awkward

I have three days left of school. I've been thinking, I need some things to keep me busy over the summer on the days that I don't have gymnastics practice.
My list so far is...
-Tubing down a river with my friends
-Sleep over
-Swimming with friends
-Swimming with friends at night, and put glow sticks in the pool.
-Movie night with friends
-Movie Theater with friends
-Go to my local fair with friends
-Melt crayons with a hair dryer on a canvas
-Shopping
-Bowling with friends
-Four wheeling
-Take funny pictures with friends
-Water balloon fights
-Tumble in Target/Walmart (I'm a gymnast)
-Star gazing on a dock, trampoline, or rooftop.
-Go swimming in a nearby river with my friends
-Put a message in a helium balloon and let it go
-A 2013 summer scrapbook
Oh yeah, like it's totally possible for me to get a job when I'm 14 and a gymnast that works out 16 hours a week. Gtfo, dumbass.

what are your favorite things to do in the spring/summer????

water trampolines for sale cheap on Hc Water Internet

Rainbow Ki

i'm trying to get ideas for a huge list i'm making of fun things to do :]

Answer
My favorite seasons!!! :D I get so happy in the spring and summer. Just reading this question made me feel a little cheerier! lol. Just a few of my faves:

- going swimming. Having your own backyard pool is a must in Phoenix, so a lot of my summertime memories revolve around swimming. : ]

- picnics! There are some really great mountains here that make for good dayhikes, and a little picnic at the top enjoying the view is so fun. Or there's always the picnic-in-the-park, or even your yard. There's just something about eating outside that makes it taste so much better!

- playing at the park -- sports, games, or just monkeying around on the playground :D

- having a neighborhood "Relive Your Childhood" party, with everyone running through the sprinklers, eating cherry popsicles, blasting good "summertime" music, etc. Or, if the adults prefer, sitting in lawnchairs sipping strawberry lemonade, getting some sun while watching through their sunglasses as the kids play. lol

- barbecues! This goes well with the last one. They must include certain foods, though -- ESPECIALLY cracking open a watermelon for dessert!

- having a watermelon seed spitting contest :D

- water balloon fights!

- flying a kite (best in spring)

- having a driveway art exhibition, sharing you & your friends'/family's/kids' sidewalk chalk creations, awarding prizes for most creative, most colorful, most abstract, and whatever other awards you can think of -- but everyone must get one, if kids are involved! It's more fun that way. : )

- playing Cowboys and Indians

- 'camping out' in the backyard, either in a tent or, if the weather is suitable & you feel it's safe, sleeping bags/blankets on a giant trampoline. It's fantastic for stargazing. We've done this many times, but! You have to remember to put a blanket UNDER you as well as over, otherwise you'll freeze even if you pile on the blankets. Yes, we really did have to find this out from experience! lol (Idk how cold it gets at night in other places, but it can cool off quite a bit at night here in the desert)

- if it's too hot to camp outside in your yard, build blanket forts inside! We used to have sleepovers in our blanket fort under the dining room table (I have 8 siblings, so it was a big table) and the various other forts we set up all throughout the house. For some reason, scary ghost stories were always more spooky INDOORS than out! We'd even microwave S'mores for the occasion. : )

- hide and seek/tag -- with squirtguns, if you're adventurous! ; )

- going to a water park

- making fun hot-weather treats: frozen kool-ade pops, pudding parfaits, homemade ice cream or sno-cones, that sorta thing (then enjoying them together, of course!)

- planting and tending a garden <3

- going to a museum or amusement park

- garage sale crawls at 8 AM

- going to the zoo and letting the kids take pictures with a cheap disposable camera

- taking a daytrip to a nearby state park or local attraction. Here in AZ, some ideas would be any of the nearby ghost towns, the Grand Canyon, Sedona (for the creeks & the touristy shops), Montezuma's Castle & other ruins, or any of the state's lakes (I can never get enough time in/near the water!)

- speaking of lakes... FISHING! If you live someplace where there isn't really a good natural fishing spot (like I do : P), look for artificial lakes that allow fishing

Those are just some examples of the stuff we do in the spring and summer that ALWAYS make for good times and great memories! <3

How can a 14 year old girl get rid of belly fat after losing 20 pounds?

BethBreakh

I want to look good in a bikini! I have a lot of belly fat that I need to get rid of. I'm already on a diet and supplements and I do at least 20 minutes of jumping on my trampoline each day. It's exhausting, but I've been trying really hard to keep it up. How can I lose my last 5-10 pounds of belly fat by the end of this month?

Please don't tell me how to tone the muscles, I'll do that after I lose the fat, but I need to lose the fat first before the muscles will show and then I will tone them as needed.

Answer
most important thing is to do this naturally..without medicines, chemicals, "starving" your self etc.

first, it would be best for you to eat as healthy as possible..this will also help you considerably to lose weight gradually and naturally..

eat fresh fruits, vegetables, drink plenty of WATER..avoid all cokes, caffeines, smoking, alchohol etc. as these also add weight as well as they contain chemicals which disturb your natural bio rythmns as well as brain chemistry. try not to eat too much meat, and the meat you should eat should be "lean meat" such as steamed chicken and rice, or steamed fish with rice..and vegetables,, this should be your staple diet rice and vegetables with fruits..AVOID "JUNK FOOD" and "Fast Food" as this type of food is very unhealthy, lacking in vitamins really and has plenty of fattening molecules which make one gain weight and is not good .

if you snack,, try fruits with yogurt or fruit yogurt and nuts.. nuts are very healthy for your body .and contain proteins.

go for walks every evening or morning or whenever you get time each day for 1 hour or 2 hours..make this somewhere you enjoy walking even if you have to drive a bit to there..and make this a daily routine..you will enjoy it once you get into it ..and it makes you feel great after..just walking for 1 hour or 2 hours.

if you do this..every day for one month ..you should lose at least 10 pounds per month until you get to your natural healthy weight..dont know what your height is,,but look up on the internet what your weight for your height should be ..and when you get to this weight,,your body will look very nice and you will feel very good.

10 pounds each month in 6 months you should lose 60 pounds..for sure...but no junk food and dont drink alcohol or smoke, dont eat junk..just healthy food with vitamins and walking 1 hour or 2 hours every day..and drink plenty of water..this is guaranteed way to lose weight naturally and for good, if you stick to this, which you should,,as it makes you feel so much more positive due to the vitamins and lack of chemicals making you feel depressed...

btw, forgot to mention,,just in case you dont know how to really make healthy meals..buy a "food steamer" at your local deparment store..they are very cheap and work very well..as well as buy a "rice cooker" which is also very cheap..eating rice is a great way to get your necessary carbs "healthy carbs" to lose weight and has lots of natural energy inside. you can buy asian rice at most large supermarkets or if you have a local oriental market..they sale quality asian rice.. thai or indian rice is good "jasmine rice".. buy corn or canola oil to sprinkle on vegetables or rice before steaming to add to taste as well as you can buy several nice spices like "cumin" or "Curry powders", etc.just sprinkle on the vegetables before steaming to give nice taste.

drink "Green Tea" as this is very healthy and helps burn weight faster...you can buy quality green tea at most oriental shops or large supermarkets as well.

good luck

How can I safely learn how to do inverted (upsidedown) freestyle sking tricks?

are water trampolines dangerous on You understand that you might die on this trip.
are water trampolines dangerous image

mei

Please don't recommened the water-ramp or a trampoline, my area isn't that great so I don't have those things. Other than that, any ideas?

Answer
Swimming and diving is one of the best ways to learn if you do not have the special areas. Next is gymnastics, including a trapeze with a safety net. All of this takes time and effort to learn. The inverted aerials are very difficult and dangerous. They are not something you learn in a few hours here and there. The spectacular events you see on video are by trained, highly skilled athletes that take years to perfect and they spend hours every day in practice of the basic skills.
The Quebec Air Force was one of the best teams ever to compete and they spent years to get that good. Start with the gymnastics and the diving lessons and learn from there.

Is it dangerous to jump on a trampoline while pregnant?

Q. I jump on a large trampoline for exercise...is it dangerous to get pregnant and continue to jump? Could this cause miscarriage?

Answer
I would not reccommend it! I would think it would cause the placenta seperate from the uterus....walk for excercise while pregnant, water aeroblics would be good too.

How to improve stamina for surf lessons?

great water trampolines on 15' Water Trampoline Park Combo Package | MonsterMarketplace.com
great water trampolines image

lasm86

I've taken a couple surfing lessons this summer, but my stamina is terrible and I only lasted like 5 minutes in the water. The instructors recommended swimming laps a few times a week, but I haven't been able to do that because of my work schedule. Are there any other exercises I can do to improve my stamina enough to last at least 20 minutes out there, exercises that I can do anytime so that I can take another lesson in a few weeks?

Answer
the best thing you can do is go to the beach, even when it's flat and paddle, paddle, paddle. make sure, however, that you are using proper paddling technique. Outside of that any improvement of your overall fitness will help you in the water immensely. I would recommend some cardio training (don't groan!) because surfing is above all an endurance sport. If you're winded after 5 minutes of paddling then you need to increase your cardio capacity. run, bike, walk, do stairs, dance, jump on a trampoline, whatever. just extend the limits of your endurance by getting your heart rate up and keeping it up in whatever way agrees with you. walking or running on the sand is a great way to kick your fitness up quickly.

What are some fun but resulting exercises?

Katherine

I am in need to toning my body. I have lost so far 20lbs from the 40lbs I am planning to lose. However, now that I have lost a huge amount of weight since December, I need to tone my body such as my abs, inner thighs and other areas that require toning.

Could someone please help me out with this. If you could give me a list of foods that I should be or should not be eating.

Also, if you know of any face exercises I could do. that would be a great help. My face is a bit chubby and I dont know how to make it less chubby.

I appreciate your help with this as I am very serious about toning my body and taking more care of my body and health.

Answer
Trampoline. Either a big one or 'mini tramp'
Swimming if you know how or water aerobics. Biking.

No foods you cannot eat! Moderation & portion size are what counts.

Your face will get skinnier as you lose more weight ;}

Best wishes!

No Name

Ok Im a 14 year old male i weigh 135-140 pounds and i have man boobs and a fat belly. I also have Big thighs. im also 5 feet. I want to get rid of my fat but i don't know how. what should i eat and what should i do. what type of cardio should i do please help. i want to look normal and not be embarrassed to take of my shirt in public.

Answer
Combining Aerobic Exercise With Toning Exercises Along With Eating Healthy Will Give You Quick Results:

1. AEROBIC EXERCISE
Aerobic/Cardio Exercise will get rid of FAT located ANYWHERE on the body! Burn calories/fat by doing aerobic exercise at least 30 to 45 minutes per day, 4 or 5 days per week. Each person is different! You may need MORE or LESS exercise depending on your age, body weight, and calorie/food intake. Do a Warm Up and Stretches BEFORE exercising to prevent injury! Do a Cool Down and Stretches AFTER exercising to prevent body stiffness! You must continue to SHOCK YOUR BODY to keep losing weight! If you do the SAME exercise routine for months, your body will get use to that routine and not work as hard to burn calories/fat, therefore you will not see results! Easy INDOOR aerboic exercise includes dancing to your favorite music (dance hard to break a sweat), step aerobics using a step bench, rebound aerobics using a mini trampoline, or doing aerobic exercise videos that can be bought at Amazon website or Collage Video website.

2. TONE YOUR WHOLE BODY OR YOUR ABS
Callanetics is deep muscle exercises using small and gentle motions that will QUICKLY tighten hips, butt, thighs, flatten the belly, lift the bust, firm the underarms, and tone the entire body. Go to Amazaon website and read the reviews for the exercise DVD or VHS tape: Callanetics 10 Years Younger In 10 Hours by Callan Pinckney. Over 100 people gave this video 5 stars! Also, this 1986 video is still being manufactured because of the high positive reviews! Per other reviews, the Callanetics 10 Years Younger In 10 Hours (dvd) includes the Quick Callanetics Stomach (dvd) routine on it. Google search Callenetics Management Company to find Callan Pinckney official website. TONING EXERCISES or Weight/Resistance/Strength Training helps define, tone, and strengthen your muscles, plus it INCREASES YOUR METABOLISM TO BURN MORE CALORIES/FAT. Don't do toning exercises on consecutive days! Your muscles need at least 1 day of rest to repair themselves!

3. EAT MORE HEALTHY FOODS AND LIMIT JUNK FOOD
There is NO NEED TO DO A SPECIAL DIET, just simply eat more healthy foods/drink water and limit junk food! When it comes to eating unhealthy/junk foods, learn MODERATION and PORTION CONTROL! Limit your intake (not completely stop eating, which is unreasonable) of the following things: greasy/oily/fried foods, high fat dairy foods, animal meat that has untrimmed fat (eat LEAN meat only), desserts, chips, candy, soda pop, punch, coffee, tea, alcohol, frozen meals, fast food restaurants, and other foods/liquids that are high in sugar, salt, sodium, fat, calories. Read the nutrition label on each product before buying! Also, eating some fat is necessary for good health! Good fats are the unsaturated fats and bad fats are the saturated fats.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1.HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS IS A VERY SLOW PROCESS! You should only lose a maximum of 2 pounds per week! One pound equals 3500 calories. Losing more than 2 pounds a week is dangerous: You will be REDUCING your MINIMUM nutritional requirements for good health!

2. The AVERAGE recommended daily calorie intake is 2500 calories a day for men and 2000 calories a day for women. Each person is different! Your calorie intake may be LOWER or HIGHER depending on your weight, muscle mass, and activity levels.

3. "Spot Reduction" is a myth! You can not exercise a specific area on your body to lose weight in that area. EXAMPLE: Stomach toning exercises will strengthen, tone, and define your abdominal muscles. That is why you will hear people say "I can feel my abs burning" or "My abs hurt". You are exercising ab MUSCLES, not the fat surrounding your stomach. Muscle and fat are two different tissues that are separate from each other. The only way to get rid of FAT located ANYWHERE on the body is by doing aerobic exercise.

Losing more than 2 pounds a week is dangerous: You will be REDUCING your MINIMUM nutritional requirements for good health!

.... that looks like a giant worm. They are like 10 feet tall and 25 - 40 feet long. I think they are filled with water also, but one or two people jump on one end, and a person goes flying off the other end into the water. Does anyone know the correct name for these? Or where to buy them?

Thank you in advance!

Answer
They are known as 'The Blob' They are filled with air, not water.

Im 50 pounds over weight & cant stand it. i work so hard & nothing happens. in the morning i eat cereal and a fruit. for lunch i have a sandwich with only ham and some carrot sticks. for dinner its whatever my parents make but my dad buys fast food A LOT and i have no control of it. i bike to school almost every day then jump on my trampoline for about an hour. i also do a lot of other random excersizes and usually everyday im exhausted from excersizing so i dont know what the problem is. i count calories and usually dont go over & if i do i excersize to make up for it. i stop eating after 7 too and i go to bed at 12. summer is coming so soon and i really dont want to be a blob of fat in a bathing suit. can someone give me like a schedule or something of what to do every day of the week. im sorry if im asking for a lot i just really need help. i go to school monday - friday so that has to be part of the schedule. again im SUPER sorry about how much im asking. thanks! (please only nice comments)

Answer
Eat 6 meals a day, every 3-4 hours.

Keep your goal weight EVERYWHERE! (On your refrigerator, tables, counters, mirror, walls, notebooks, on your phone, in your fridge, anywhere you can think of.. It helps keep you motivated)

Everytime you go to get sweets, junk food or any fatty foods.. Remember why you're avoiding them.

Get rid of all the junk food in your house

Eat ; fruits, vegetables, fish, lean meats, nuts & seeds

Do lots of cardio

Drink lots of water, along with lemon water and green tea (lemons and green tea help boost your metabolism and burn fat)

Find out how many calories you're required to eat daily ; http://caloriecount.about.com/tools/calories-goal

Before you eat, drink water.. You could be mistaking thirst with hunger.

Work hard, because if you do.. You'll see results pretty fast.

Find a buddy, if you have someone there to push you while you work out.. It helps and if you're eating healthier with someone else.. They can keep you motivated.

Keep a food journal, it helps so that you're not sugar coating what you eat(you're being completely honest with yourself)

Keep in mind, it's okay to set aside 1-2 days a week for cheat meals.. Just don't go overboard

Chewing gum helps too, it keeps your mouth occupied (I'd suggest Extra gum, it's only 5 calories per piece)

Have people around you that support you, not try to make you fail.

Keep weight loss quotes around the house, like.. 'The more you sweat, the better you get' 'Nobody has ever drowned in their own sweat' etc.

Don't give up, no matter what.

Yoga helps with weight loss and it relieves stress.

Weight watchers works!

Stretching is important before & after you work out (you don't want to get injured)

Jobs for 13 year olds in North Carolina?

water trampolines on sale on inflatable trampolines, water trampoline or bouncer and water toys
water trampolines on sale image

Number 8

Hi, I'm 13 and in NC, I really really want a job.
I am trying to get some extra money to spend at disney when we go in a few months.
are there any types of jobs I can do?
Besides babysitting and mowing lawns, where I live there aren't a whole lot of people or lawns to mow.

Do I have to be 14 years old to get a job? or could I get something like bagging groceries for tips or anything like that?

Answer
Some ideas for you:
Shovel snow off driveways, porches, mailboxes, trampolines, off stuff in the yard like dog houses, boats, etc.
Dig up gardens so they can be planted.
Walk dogs.
Fill in for a newspaper delivery person who is on vacation.
Water plants for people who are out of town.
Baking cookies or cinnamon rolls for people. Take orders and then deliver them.
Or ask a store that does not sell food, (or some other event) if you can have a bake sale table.
Or sell food to friends after school. Everybody is always hungry then.
Help mothers clean house or do laundry.
Tutor kids in reading or math.
Help mothers put on birthday parties.
Organize a movie day, with food, where parents can pay you to watch their kids on days that school has been canceled, but parents still have to work.
Ask everyone you know if they have any "odd jobs" you can do for them. They may not be able to give you a "real" job, but they may be able to find wood that needs to be moved, parking lots that should be swept, windows to wash, gardens to clean out before being planted, etc.
Take a look around and see what kinds of things people don't like to do (the jobs that they usually put off for last), what kinds of things they don't have time to do, and offer to be hired to do them.
See what people are spending their money on, and see if there is a way that you can provide some of that product or service.
Good Luck and have fun!

Did you buy your pet dog from a Breeder, or Pet Store, or animal shelter, or neighbor had puppies?

CAMILLE

How much did you pay for your dog ? What kind of dog and his/her name?

Answer
Bought our dog from none of the above. It took quite a bit of doing to get our dog. First off, we live in kind of a wooded subdivision and there used to be dogs running loose, and I'm sure that SOME of those dogs were shot.

I started with a bulldozer and graded our backyard; then I told my son we needed grass, so I bought a power seeder and we planted, fertilized and watered to get a lawn. Then I put up a fence, and the day the fence was complete I told my son he should try to find a dog.

We went to a local Pets-R-Us store and he found a dog he liked, but we had to fill out a written application for how we would TREAT the dog, and I guess they either didn't like the fact that we already had a cat or that we wrote that the dog's home would generally be the backyard, not the house....Whatever we said, we failed to meet their criteria, because they never called us.

A few days later, I picked up a newspaper and told my son to look under pets and find a dog. By now, we were praying sincerely to find a dog. My son had a beautiful fenced in yard with grass and trampoline and trees to climb and a swingset, but no dog. He called these people who had "American Eskimo" puppies for sale. My son seemed excited and wanted me on the phone. I got on the phone and asked the man "what is the breed known for?" He responded "Nothing. They are just lovable little furballs."

We drove over to their house and met them and David picked a puppy. We gave them $50 down, I don't remember if the dog was $350 or $450, but he has become priceless. I told my son he should try to find an Eskimo name for his Eskimo dog, and he went online somewhere to the University of Alaska or someplace where they have a drop-down Inoupia (Eskimo) dictionary. (I'm probably murdering the spelling, but anyway, the Eskimo name he found was "Ixa" meaning "friend" in Eskimo language.

This dog has been perfect for my kids. He DOESN'T bark needlessly, but NO ONE can walk down the street without him yapping. He is rather smaill, about 25 pounds, but HE doesn't know that; he is totally fearless and will bark ferociously at dogs 4 times his size. He is VERY protective of my kids, but gentle and loving TO them. He is pure white, unfortunately longhaired, and an absolute chick magnet.

EVERY time my son walks him, all the girls (regardless of age) just ooohhh and ahhh over him, which is kind of funny, because he doesn't really LIKE girls nearly as well as he enjoys boys company.

His one drawback is his HAIR. He sleeps in a kennel in the kitchen, but sometimes when the sun shines in the living room, you can see his hair floating in THERE. My poor wife vaccuums frequently under the kitchen table, but it usually looks like pigs live here because the dog is SUCH a fur factory. He IS a perfect watchdog, because he WILL bark and get my attention, and I'll address any threat (I am most certainly lawfully armed in my own home).
