Smackdown

I remember back in my Teen days when I was 14, I attempted to RKO one of my friends off their bed, when I went for it, he moved out of the way!, So I ended up landing straight on back to the Floor, I thought I needed Physical Therapy after that!....What a epic fail it was

WQ; Do you feel Evan Bourne has been waterd down lately ?

Answer
Haha, ya, more than a few. Here are some of the, shall we say, more epic ones:

By far the most painful was at this lake we go to quite often on our boat. On the far side of the lake they have a number of big rocks you can jump off of. Well, now this was about a year or two ago, in my ultimate wisdom I decided that it would be really cool to attempt a swanton bomb off a 20 foot rock. My plan was to hold the pose upside down until the last minute, then rotate and land on my feet. Let's just say I held the pose just a little to long. Christ, it felt like I crippled myself. I don't know how Jeff does that on ladders and crap every night.

Another epic Swanton Bomb moment (Man, maybe I should stop imitating Jeff Hardy?) came also about a year ago when my cousin and I were screwing around on the trampoline outside my house. We set up a ladder beside the trampoline and I swanton'ed off of it. I landed it perfectly but what I didn't account for was stopping. I was moving so fast that when I came out of the flip I soared off the trampoline, bounced on the metal springs and flew into the fence. That one kind of hurt.

You know when you're messing around with your buddies and things sort of escalate? Well, one of my best friends and I were playing poker at my house a few months ago and we were trading shots all night long. Finally, we decided to take it outiside and just wrestle around. Now, I despise Batista, but I have to be honest, the spinebuster is a deceptively effective move. However, a spinebuster into the walls of Jericho doesn't work so well. I went to put the walls on him and he mule-kicked me right in the chest.

WQ: Yes, and it's driving me crazy. Before he got hurt Evan Bourne was one of the most entertaining stars WWE had. Since he's gotten back though, he's just been a carbon copy of Kofi Kingston. Not that I have anything against Kofi, but he's an incredibly watered down superstar as well. It's a shame, because Bourne was one of my favorites, now he's just another face in the crowd.

Biggest Towable Tube (Behind a boat)?

MLN

I am looking for the biggest possible towable tube that is solely a tube and not a towable deck, multisport, or trampoline/towable. I want a tube that is made just for tubing. For example, it must be bigger than H.O.'s Ion, one of the biggest I have found with the characteristic of being a solely tubing tube.

Answer
Do NOT use the Manta Ray! I'm assuming you want something to pull multiple people and the manta ray is not your answer. Plus it is very dangerous. Even if you get a little height or air under that thing you will go flying and you can get really hurt. It kills when you hit the water from such a speed and height. Honestly there's not a good tube that fits more than 3-4 people. But you may want to look into a water boggan. Here is a link where you fill find towable for 4+ people. I hope this helps. This is a very reliable source.

Happy Tubing :)

A 10-ft wide round water trampoline is floating in a pool measuring x ft by x ft. Find a polynomial for the re?

Marsha Mas

A 10-ft wide round water trampoline is floating in a pool measuring x ft by x ft. Find a polynomial for the remaining surface area of the pool

Answer
Supposing x to be greater than or equal to 10:

Area of the pool: x^2 sq. feet

Area of the trampoline: (Ï (10/2)^2) = 25Ï sq. feet

So the remaining area = x^2 - 25Ï sq. feet

(If x is less than 10, the remaining area can be calculated, but it becomes complicated because of the overlap of the trampoline on the surrounding land. The word "floating" suggests that x is not less than 10.)

Kurt

I want to go somewhere in Michigan with visiting family, can anyone recommend somewhere either on the lake or some vineyards?? thanks!

Answer
Traverse City. They have 2 major bays off of Lake Michigan to swim in. Pay the extra cost to get into the State Park beach - it's all sand in the lake, not rocks. If you want to play beach volleyball, rent a water trampoline, rent jet skis, ride in a parasail, or rent water bikes, you can on East Bay. There is an awesome volleyball beach on West Bay as well. Take a drive up Old Mission Peninsula to get a nice view of both lakes, some beautiful castle-like houses and wineries, cherry groves, and fieds of grapes...some of the most beautiful views in Michigan. At the end of the peninsula is a lighthouse and a beach. Make sure you gas up before you drive up the peninsula because there is no gas station up there. In Traverse City, you can visit Moomers, where they raise the cows and make the ice cream all in one place. And they have tons of flavors.

Otherwise, visit the Sleeping Bear Sand Dunes.

trampoline water damage image

alexis.[:

Okay, well I'm turning 13 in a few months and going to 8th grade pretty soon. My room isn't big nor is it small. Right now, i have a full size bed and getting a mini trampoline in a few days. Of course i have regular stuff in my room like, a dresser, 20 inch TV, chair, rug, etc. But what are somethings i could do to make my room look really cool. I already have signs and posters hanging up. Like, what are some things that you can't just find in a regular store like walmart that i can add to my room?

Answer
Decoate one wall entirely with cork tiles and paint it all in a really bold colour. Then paint a scene onto it, for example, clouds and stars...then you have a giant pinbooard where you can pin anything with damaging your walls, and no-one else has one like it!

Use unusal objects to create shelves...an old skateboard or painted driftwood....anything flat!!

Collect differrent and interesting shaped bottles and fill them up with water and lots of differenet food colourings. Put them on diplay...somewhere they won't get knocked over.

How long should I walk/run/jog to lose 20lbs by the new year?

Cashmeree

I walk and jog and run around my neighborhood and around the high school track. I also do some workout videos for about 20 mins to 30 mins . And I drink water but eat less . What would be the best workout schedule for running and does it matter if I'm doing it in the morning or afternoon or evening ?

Answer
Exercise is vital but to lose weight, you have to change your diet and portions. You can lose 20 lbs in jut 2 months with this low-carb food/exercise plan:

Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine.
Fruit smoothies.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.
Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.

Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers.

Avoid junk food, fast foods, gluten, pastries, desserts, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (itâs lard + chemicals), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells).coffee (carcinogenic). no oil except olive and mac nut. Sodas (loaded with toxins; leads to stroke, obesity, kidney damage, high BP and inhibits bone growth in kids), anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar, it wreaks havoc on your liver, mucks up metabolism, impairs brain function, makes you more susceptible to heart disease and diabetes),
To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, veggie juice, unsweetened fruit juice.

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches.

For more energy, take Super B complex. Try appetite suppressants.

Eastern Carribean Cruise... shore excursions?

Have you any ideas about fun excursions on Nassau, Puerto Rico, St. Thomas or Half Moon Cay? I really want to know if any of these places have a water trampoline...like one that is out in the ocean that you have to swim to? Or any other interesting ideas that aren't posted on the cruise website...THANKS A BUNCH! (PS. I always choose a best answer!)

Answer
I don't know anything about a water trampoline, but you are about to see some of the most beautiful beaches in the Caribbean.
On St Thomas head straight for Megan's Bay, beautiful calm aqua/blue water. if you are into snorkeling go to Coki Beach. St Thomas is a shopping mecca, bring credit cards.

Half Moon Cay is a 55 acre private island. All kinds of things to do, snorkel, scuba, watersports, fishing, stingray adventure, nature trails, horseback riding on the beach into the surf. There is a bar and a buffet pavilion there too.

Nassau/Paradise Island, take a cab over to Atlantis and check that resort out. The water in the Bahamas is also calm and pretty.

Puerto Rico you must go to Historic Old San Juan District
Also the Castillo San Felipe del Morro.

It's hard to suggest because you don't have much time in the ports to really go far. My suggestions are things you can do that won't take you too far from the port and the ship leaves you behind. That is the only advantage to taking the ship's excursion. They won't leave you behind,

enjoy your cruise)

A few questions about going on vacation?

Ceecee Bab

I'm going to Miami and on a cruise in like 2 weeks.

1. We are driving to Miami, and then we are leaving to the cruise from Miami, but will our car be safe while on the cruise?

2. The cruise will be going to the Bahamas and that's what I'm most excited about, I wanna go on the beach there, but when the ship ports, will we be able to easily get to the beach from the port? If not how do we go to the beach?

3. We will also be hanging out in Miami in a couple days, do you think I'll meet cool people around my age (17) and will I meet people on the cruise? It's only a three day cruise?

4. My sister is 14 and I heard the ship has a kid club but I don't think they allow 14 year olds, will she be able to get into the club?

Any answers are appreciated, thanks.
*Miami for a couple days -- question 3 correction

Answer
1. Im sure your car will be safe. A lot of people leave their car there and I don't think I've ever heard of an incident.

2. Getting to the beach will be VERY easy. I've been to the Bahamas before and just like everywhere else a cruise ship stops at, there will be plenty of taxis there. There's always a few beaches to go to, so if you dont know which to pick, just ask the taxi driver which one he recommends or is the best. And ask how much it is to get there before you get in the taxi. And every beach that you go to charges an entrance fee per person and fees to use the chairs, umbrellas and bathrooms, so don't be surprised. And if they have water activities and trampolines; another fee. Make sure you guys have a lot of single dollars and smaller bills.

3. I'm sure you'll find people to hang out with. I'm 17 too, almost 18, and everytime I go on a cruise I find people to hang out with. It sucks that your going on a 3 day though, the longer the better.

4. You sister will have her own club to go to. There's a club for every age group.

How do other full-time parents/sigle parents manage to cope with their pay each fortnight?

familygirl

Does anyone manage to get extra income? If so how? How do you manage to stay fit, eat/shop right & entertain the kids after rent, bills etc?
I would like to hear from everyone, especially those on low incomes or parenting payments (Australians)

Answer
With me I sat down, and made a set calendar. I try hard not to get off of it. It gets hard sometimes, but I try to stick with it. When I know pay day comes up I think about the stuff I need like food, water bill, and so on. Then I try to push some aside for say we are running to a doctor appointment, and we need to stop somewhere for lunch. I try not to do that since it can be pricey.
Staying fit....... I let my boys help with that. I take time to run with them in the yard, jump on our trampoline, we take walks, join them on the jungle gym at the park, and so on. We even dance to music in the living room. They love it, and I am working out.

Ok so I was just wondering. What can my three kids play outside that will keep them busy? Two are 10 &one is 12. They have a trampoline to do stuff on, a swing set &lots of grass. Suggestions on any games?!

Answer
You could add some new accessories to their swing set. We recently added a rock climbing wall and money bars, which added a new element of fun. The website below also has some outdoor games, like a really cool inflatable basketball set and soccer game. They also have a giant outdoor chess set that looks fun.

what toys do you think are a great investment? I have a 12 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son and they use the trampoline EVERYDAY! I also, have a motorcycle power wheels and my daughter will ride on it with him(we have a jeep power wheels but my daughter can't fit into that one comfortably) and a 9 ft. inflatable water slide..Both my kids have sooooo much fun on it!

Answer
I hate to spend money on big expensive toys...Mostly because kids get bored quickly and most toys break or the kids lose pieces really quickly!

I like toys like play-doh, cheap fun and easy to replace.

Our biggest investment was a play kitchen with food and pots and pans. We also built a sandbox, but sand toys are really cheap.

Our favorite toys:
Play-doh
Washable water colors
Wooden blocks
Crayons (Washable)
Books
Wooden puzzles
Hot wheels cars
Army guys
Bubbles (which you can make yourself)
Etc.

Answer
Choosing a water trampoline or water bouncer for summer fun can be confusing as there are a lot of options out there. Choosing the perfect fit for you and your family is all about being informed on the different types of water trampolines, water bouncers and various accessories. This guide will help you find the right product for you and your needs.

Water Bouncers

Water bouncers are often mistaken for their more expensive counterpart, water trampolines. The jumping surface of a water bouncer is connected directly to the floatation part of the bouncer instead of being connected by springs thus giving it a smaller bounce. They are typically smaller than water trampolines making them easier to store and easier to set up because they require no assembly.

Connection

* Jumping surface is connected to the floatation tube, typically by interlocking nylon webbing.
* Jumping service of bouncers is NOT connected by springs.

Assembly

* Does not require assembly, only inflation.
* Inflate and anchor before enjoying.
* Anchor should be a simple D-ring anchor or any weight over 20 pounds should suffice.
* Anchor in over six feet of water to avoid injuries.

Pricing

* Bouncers usually range in size from 10 to 15 feet in diameter.
* Bouncers are generally less expensive than water trampolines and are typically under $1,000.

Water Trampolines

Inflatable water trampolines differ from water bouncers due to the fact that they can hold heavier weight loads and tend to allow to higher jumps. The added support and higher jumps are a result of the framed jump surface that is connected by springs to a frame, which is then connected to the inflation tube.

Connection

* Jumping surface of a water trampoline is connected to the frame by springs.
* Provides significantly greater weight support and higher jumping heights.

Assembly

* Some assembly required.
* Frame and jumping surface must be assembled and attached to the floatation tube once inflated.
* Anchor needs to be at least 60 pounds and should be anchored in a place without water currents.

Pricing

* It is easy to find water trampolines priced under $1,000 but they can be over $1,000 also.
* Can be as large as 25â² in diameter and as small as 11â² in diameter.
* Typically are more expensive than water bouncers.

Styles

* Rectangular trampolines are offered that range in sizes and can be up to 25 feet in length.
* Rectangular trampolines tend to be more expensive and hold tension better because of their shape.
* Circular trampolines tend to be less expensive and do not hold tension as well but they do have a sweet spot in the middle of the mat because of the tension distribution.

Safety

Safety is one of the main concerns of many people who purchase water trampolines. Children under 6 years old should not be allowed on water trampolines and children over 6 should be supervised by an adult. Life vests should be worn at all times while enjoying your water trampoline. Also, be sure to read all directions carefully and set up your water trampoline and accessories accordingly to ensure maximum safety and fun!

We have a plethora of information on our site.

If your the average teen- what do you or did you do in in your spare time during the summer? What were your?

Igbo Naija

- days like? Were they boring or exciting? Did you travel anywhere? Do anything fun like movies, bday party etc? What about your nights? Did you stay up and how long?

Answer
I would call myself the average teen. I had a pretty good summer - I tried to make the most of my days. The highlight of my summer so far was a summer camp I went to for a week (going back next year for longer!). I also went away to a really intense sports camp for 4 nights. I wouldn't call that fun exactly, but it was different and I met some really cool people and improved my game more than I could have ever hoped to. I went to a zipline/rope course park about 4 hours away which was also very exciting and fun! I'd definitely recommend it! Last week I went to a water ziplining/cliff jumping park with a bunch of awesome things to do (too bad it was poorly organized and crowded... not a good combination) including inflatable trampolines, rope swinging into the water, and super fast water slides releasing you 10 feet off the water. I started kind of having friend troubles with 2 of my friends midway through the summer which kind of resulted in a mini depression, but I still tried to do as many fun things as I could. I stayed up between 11 and 12 most nights. The thing about summer is that during the school year every aspect of summer is idealized. Your expectations for the upcoming summer get unrealistically high, and then a lot of people are disappointed.

Answer
Clear Water Beach Florida was rated one of the best FAMILY beaches in the US.

At nights they have a festival on the pier where your kids can get their faces painted, watch performers with fire, theres usually a monkey and lots of fun crafts to look at and buy.

They also put up trampolines and those big inflatable slides (it looks like a shark)

Plus in the summer the ocean water is insanely warm

Can you buy just the boarding platform for the sportsstuff funstation?

water trampolines to buy on Aquaglide Adventure Series Foxtrot Challenge
water trampolines to buy image

Sarah

Its a water trampoline and the boarding platform has sprung a leak so we can't get on it and I want to know if we can buy just the platform

Answer
Contact the manufacturer not Yahoo!Answers. They or their dealers will have run across the same problem, not a bunch of strangers on line. If not figure out how to patch the leak. RTV or an inner tube patch kit can do wonders. The problem is that you don't give enough information about the construction or the leak.

I would also point you to a couple of reviews for these products. They're junk, and if you take it out of the water at the end of the summer chances are that's the last time you'll use it. Have you thought about tying another small raft to the trampoline and using that as the platform?

Good luck with your repairs...

and also to burn calories if you dont have a measurer. to know 4 sure if your burnin cals, is it when your heart starts pumping that your burnin cals 4 sure?

Answer
Swimming is by far the best exercise of all, you workout every inch of your body and the resistance you get from the water is just enough to burn those calories without straining your muscles too much.
Your heart pumping just means that you have increased your metabolic rate and that you can do in a matter of a few seconds with any exercise, so no that is not a good indicator.
Begin to listen to your body, when your muscles feel tight and you are a bit out of breath but without feeling like passing out, then you know you've given your body a good workout, that's a good measure that you have burn some if not a lot of calories.
Good luck.

Is there a way to stop having swelling iin my legs every time I sit at my computer?

Jenni

I have some edema in my legs every night when I sit at my computer and it is quite bothersome. I also have a small scratch on my leg and somehow it keeps leaking some clear fluid. Is this from the swelling in my legs? I know it's not infected because there's no puss or redness or anything like that. It's just annoying like a drippy faucet. Can some please provide me with answer? Thanks

Answer
Swelling of the ankles - feet - legs; Ankle swelling; Foot swelling; Leg swelling; Edema - peripheral; Peripheral edema

Painless swelling of the feet and ankles is a common problem, particularly among older people.

Abnormal buildup of fluid in the ankles, feet, and legs is called peripheral edema or pedal edema.

Painless swelling may affect both legs and may include the calves or even the thighs. Because of the effect of gravity, swelling is particularly noticeable in the lower part of the body

Foot, leg, and ankle swelling is common with the following situations:

Prolonged standing
Long airplane flights or automobile rides
Menstrual periods (for some women)
Pregnancy -- excessive swelling may be a sign of preeclampsia, a serious condition sometimes called toxemia, which includes high blood pressure and swelling
Being overweight
Increased age
Injury or trauma to your ankle or foot
Swollen legs may be a sign of heart failure, kidney failure, or liver failure. In these conditions, there is too much fluid in the body.

Other conditions that can cause swelling to one or both legs include:

Blood clot
Leg infection
Venous insufficiency (when the veins in your legs are unable to adequately pump blood back to the heart)
Varicose veins
Burns (including sunburn)
Insect bite or sting
Starvation or malnutrition
Surgery to your leg or foot
Blockage of the lymph nodes in the legs (lymphatic obstruction)
Certain medications may also cause your legs to swell:

Hormones like estrogen (in birth control pills or hormone replacement therapy) and testosterone
Blood pressure medicines called calcium channel blockers (such as nifedipine, amlodipine, diltiazem, felodipine, and verapamil)
Steroids
Antidepressants, including MAO inhibitors (such as phenelzine and tranylcypromine) and tricyclics (such as nortriptyline, desipramine, and amitriptyline

Home Care

Elevate your legs above your heart while sitting or lying down.
Exercise your legs. This helps pump fluid from your legs back to your heart.
Wear support stockings (sold at most drug and medical supply stores).
Follow a low-salt diet, which may reduce fluid retention and swelling

Prevention
Avoid sitting or standing without moving for prolonged periods of time. When flying, stretch your legs often and get up to walk when possible. When driving, stop to stretch and walk every hour or so. Avoid wearing restrictive clothing or garters around your thighs. Exercise regularly. Lose weight if you need to

Sitting for prolonged periods such as computer work will result in pedal edema. the reason: due to gravity- venous blood tend to pool at the lowest periphery- your legs. It can turn the feet to be quite edematous( swollen) and purplish looking at times. This is caused by poor venous return. or "venous pooling".

One can actually see the line around my ankle down where the discoloration begins. At times, it feels like stepping on a "lit cigarette. or the name of "elephant feet."

Another reason is due to water gain.

Check into zinc

How is your heart ?? I would look into the amino, taurine
and coenzyme Q-10 if it is weak and not pumping as it should.

Next, always sitting with your feet higher than you hips will help AND staying off your feet as much as possible. Next, using the trampoline (sevearl minutes several times as day, for improving lymphatic return from the area, will help. Use the search engine for "Rebounding"

When sitting for prolonged periods; take breaks often to stimulate circulation.

Finally getting fitted for support hose (up TO your knees), at a surgical suppply house, will save your legs long enough for you to lose the weight. When sitting try to elevate your legs
.
Massage will also help.

How can I practice a tabletop without killing myself?

giant water trampolines on Water Trampoline Slide For Beach/lake 04 - Buy Giant Inflatable Water ...

Answer
First, practice practice practice jumping small, simple, straight jumps. Get your takeoff nailed down so you can do it in your sleep. Then move on to larger jumps that give you more air time so you can work up to tabletops or whatever else you want to try.

Second, and this should be first.....get a good hardshell or fullface helmet and think about full padding for your elbows, knees, and shins.

I've seen people practicing their aerials by taking an old bike, removing the wheels, derailleurs, chainrings, and pretty much everything but what is needed to hold it all together. They super-pad everything and put axles or something between the dropouts so they won't bend, and then get on a large trampoline. I've also seen giant, deep foam block pits that are made with a steep jump just so people can practice.

If the water is warm where you are, get an absolute beater bike from a garage sale or pawn shop and make some lake jumps. A bunch of guys around here set those up in the summer. I haven't done it but it looks like a blast! Also looks like a good way to get hurt if something goes wrong, but they usually ditch the bike before the hit they water.
