Trampoline springs left in a bucket of water throughout winter?

water trampoline with springs on inflatable trampolines, water trampoline or bouncer and water toys
water trampoline with springs image

Gilly

We take down the trampoline every winter and my dad forgot to put the bucket of springs back to the shed. They were left outside and it rained so it was covered with water. They're not still usable right? How much will it cost to replace all the springs? :\

Answer
=== idf you could just soak the rust off the springs with gasoline and try the springs you may discover that those springs are still usable .... otherwise,,,, get the manufacturer name and email them and ask for the closest place to purchase or get them new springs shipped to you

Can you buy just the boarding platform for the sportsstuff funstation?

Sarah

Its a water trampoline and the boarding platform has sprung a leak so we can't get on it and I want to know if we can buy just the platform

Answer
Contact the manufacturer not Yahoo!Answers. They or their dealers will have run across the same problem, not a bunch of strangers on line. If not figure out how to patch the leak. RTV or an inner tube patch kit can do wonders. The problem is that you don't give enough information about the construction or the leak.

I would also point you to a couple of reviews for these products. They're junk, and if you take it out of the water at the end of the summer chances are that's the last time you'll use it. Have you thought about tying another small raft to the trampoline and using that as the platform?

Good luck with your repairs...

Friend and I are looking for a tropical place to take a reasonably priced mini vacation. Help!?

Katie W

We're picky, and we need some help. Here are the details:
We want somewhere tropical, probably southern California, with palm trees (hot but not desert hot), late July. Resort/hotel with an awesome pool, and preferably modern decor, not more than 200 a night. Mega bonus points for not being a big generic chain. We are turning 30 (ah!) and just want to take a girl's weekend. Know of any places?

Answer
the Florida Keys! :P i live in south Florida and its pretty hot all year round, but on the beach front is perfect. Also the keys is a really awesome place, the water is crystal clear, and you can snorkel/ fish boat rides and of course bars and dancing etc... pretty awesome place. when i was younger i really liked going on the water trampolines they had. Lots to do there.

Can anyone reccommend a good kid freindly beach destination in the southeast?

rockliz200

I am trying to figure out were to go on vacation this year I know I want to go to the beach but to one that is not overcrowded, and it needs to be kid friendly and affordable in GA, FL the southeast

Answer
Clear Water Beach Florida was rated one of the best FAMILY beaches in the US.

At nights they have a festival on the pier where your kids can get their faces painted, watch performers with fire, theres usually a monkey and lots of fun crafts to look at and buy.

They also put up trampolines and those big inflatable slides (it looks like a shark)

Plus in the summer the ocean water is insanely warm

Answer
I actually have a bucket list with about 150 things on it! lol But I guess it all depends on the person and what your dreams and ambitions/interests are. For instance I'm obsessed with Disneyland, I go way too often to be normal. On my bucket list I have go on the leap day where their open for 24 hours! And stay the whole time :) Also I have live in Australia, swim with the dolphins, become a good enough skier to go on the advanced slope in Mammoth, go whale watching (check), ride an elephant, pierce my belly button, attach a lock to a love bridge, volunteer in Africa, have my 50th anniversary with the one I love, make a pizza from scratch, watch a bunch of those cheezy $1 movies with friends, try sushi, buy a meal for a homeless person, go to a Bruno Mars concert, go on a grafitti run, skydive, etc. I know its a lot but I'm sure you wanted a lot of ideas. Just remember that you can do anything if you work hard for it. All hard work pays off my dear. xoxo

Answer
Here are a few ideas

â¢Highlighter/Blacklight Partyâ¢Glow Party

â¢Under the Stars
â¢Mardis Gras
â¢Dress to Impress
â¢Diamonds and Denim
â¢Masquerade the Night Away
â¢Red Carpet
â¢Hollywood
â¢Chocolate Party
â¢Luau
â¢Jocks and Cheerleader Party
â¢Party LIke a Rockstar

Dance Party: This is by far the most popular party theme. It's the most popular for a reason, if you find the right entertainment it can be the most fun of all the different party types. Think about your school dances, many schools only have two per year of which you may only be allowed to attend one! But everywhere you look you see other people having dances on TV or in movies. Dances allow you to throw your own party just like an adult where you can have a blast with all of your closest friends. If you find a DJ who specializes in sweet sixteen's with lights, games and contests you (or your parents) don't have to worry about anything except showing up, picking out the right music and having a blast with all of your friends! The right DJ should make sure everyone is involved and keep the party going all night.

2.Rock Band, DDR or Guitar Hero Theme Party: Why not take the games you play with your friends to the next level? Setup a screen, rent some lighting and speakers and have a real rock championship to determine the best Rock Band, Guitar Hero, or DDR players. Setting up a tournament with brackets and themed prizes can make your sweet sixteen party a blast!

3.Outdoor Movie Party: Having your party outdoors can be awesome for you and your friends to take in the great summer weather and watch a movie together. You can rent all the equipment you need to have a massive screen in your backyard or by the pool so you can all watch a movie together or make a movie night out of it. Having games and party favors within the theme can help turn it into an awesome party.

4.Pool Party: Pools are a great way for your friends to relax and hang out in the pool. Hiring a DJ to keep the music going and to incorporate the pool into the evening with contests and games can be a really great party during the summer. You can setup a giant inflatable movie screen next to the pool to show the movies on, or have a volleyball net or basketball hoop if you don't already have one for the pool.

5.Roller Skating/Ice Skating Party: Having an activity to focus on throughout the night is important if you don't like being the center of attention the whole night. It makes it easy for everyone to have a great time from your really outgoing guests, to friends who need a little help getting into the party. Having a roller or ice skating party can be a great theme option. Many rinks have a lot of creative ways to enhance your party. Having a local band or a DJ can also be a great way to kick up a party to the next level.

6.Lake Party: If you have a lake or campground near you, these parties can be the most memorable parties and weekends of your life. Most larger lakes have boats or pontoon boats that you can rent, or you can rent jet skis to have a blast with all your friends for your birthday party! Some lakes you can even combine pontoon boats with a dance party if the lake is big enough! You can also look into water trampolines, these can help turn your sweet sixteen party into the party of the year!

7.Scavenger Hunt: Having all of your friends show up ahead of time and surprising the birthday person with a party and then going out on a scavenger hunt can be an awesome party idea! It gives everyone something to do as well as adding competition into the night. Theme each stop after something that the birthday person likes or reminds you of them. You can do photo or video hunts or hunt for physical objects around town. Have the final location be a secret until you have found all the clues, then everyone can meet up at the final location to really celebrate your party with everyone together!

Best kind of water trampolines for a good price?

Kody S

I live on a channel on a fresh water lake and I would like to put a water trampoline out in the water. I don't need a huge one, but I still want a good sized one. It would be used by teenagers and rarely any kids and my oldest sons and their friends that are in their early 20's. So it has to be durable and it has to be able to hold teenagers and adults. I don't want one that only allows us to only have very little people on at one time. AND LIKE I SAID IT WOULD GET A LOT OF USE. So anyways, what is the best brand? What is the best kind? Whats the best one that will fit my needs? I don't want to spend a lot of money because I'm not up at the lake too much but when I am the trampoline would get a good beating. So keep the price as low as possible. Any ideas on water trampolines? Tell me a trampoline and the model that would fit my criteria or give me a link. Thanks and please answer.

Answer
if you're looking for a tramp because of the bouncing part, then forget it. the water dampens the bounce and they really aren't a lot of fun after about 10 minutes. We have a small one and every weekend at the lake I see no body... count em o.... use it. the people to use it are 9, 12, 13, 15 ,16 ,19, years old. they got bored really fast. look at the big tubes. they can be used to float around on + they are towable.

Throwing a religious private party with an inflatable trampoline and all at a public playground?

inflatable trampoline for children on inflatable trampoline manufacturer, custom inflatable trampolines ...
inflatable trampoline for children image

ikra_chyor

And with public speeches through a microphone, that the whole park can hear?

Is that OK or a not-so-good thing to do and why?

Kids of every religion do to to that playground...

Most don't know what the party is about... but you know kids, they want to try the trampoline, of course. So the situation is somewhat uncomfortable!
LOL i'm not the one throwing the party.

Answer
Why does your God deny little children of different religions the joy of jumping on a trampoline? That's just wrong.

By the way, it's a PUBLIC park - you don't own it. Suck it up and be uncomfortable. I would personally protest if you were out there spewing your views on me while I was trying to enjoy the public land my taxes pay for. Or is it because you just don't you like to look into the eyes of those you scorn?

How do I teach my 5yr old autistic not to run away..he dsnt like us holding his hand and throws a huge tantrum

monik33

in public if we try....he has run away from his special ed classroom, and from the school building, in stores and restaurants he cant keep still. Discipline works in the house but not in public...Im tired of chasing him and Im always scared of losing him or something dangerous happening.

Answer
Have you tried a weighted vest or backpack? That might provide some feedback so that he doesn't want to run so much.

Many children with autism need a lot-i mean A LOT-of physical movement. You and his teachers might try to get a small trampoline, a child safe treadmill, an inflatable punching bag, anything that will let him work out his energies. You might request a consultation with a physical therapist or have a sensory integration assessment done.

Also, a lightweight halter strap such as this one...

http://www.4coolkids.com/default.html?src=OVTR&OVRAW=harness%20for%20children&OVKEY=child%20harness&OVMTC=standard

will help when you are out in public. You will need to practice with it lots at home so that he is used to it. There are many other styles to choose from.

Teach him to come back when you call. Think of how you would teach a cuddly puppy to come when you call. I know that your son is not a puppy, but the principal is the same. Let him get a few steps away (at home) and call him. When he comes, lots of hugs and kisses and praise and a small reward (such as 1 M&M or 1 sticker). Do this over and over. Let him get far away and call him.

When I taught preschool kids with autism and other disabilities, I used a whistle and a certain number of blasts. We'd line up. I'd yell "run away!â They'd all run. Then I'd blow 5 tweets and they'd all run back and get a reward. (Eventually they'd all run back.) Someone else might have to run alongside him and turn him back when the whistle blows so that he learns to associate that sound with finding the person with whistle and getting a good reward.

Also, I have heard that some kids with autism are being taught to stop and wait whenever they come to a stop sign. That might help.

As for running out of the classroom....they can use similar techniques. If I were you though, I'd ask them to tell you at what times of the day is he running out and what is going on at those times. They might need to add more interesting activities into the schedule to keep him occupied while he learns to come.

Good Luck!

Cheerleade

Last weekend it was outside of my trampoline so my dad knocked it down and now it's inside of my trampoline! I need it gone now! I hate hate HATE spiders! Please help!

Answer
For some reason those harmless orb weavers like trampolines.
It is too bad you hate spiders, these little gals are totally harmless, my kids adore them, and I used to play with them when I was a kid.
When they web in inconvenient places, I just pick the spider out of her web and put her in the bushes or garden, everybody is happy.
You could always just hose her off with water, but that will likely kill her.
If she is hiding in the tubing, just ignore her, she won't bother you, but she will come out in the night and web up your trampoline again.

Does this sound like a fun birthday party for a 13 year old girl?

I've already turned 13 not long ago, but I haven't had a party yet. I actually just finished planning it, even though it isn't going to be until June. =P I haven't made it permanent yet, I just had some ideas. Anyways, this is what I'm planning to do.
I'm starting it at 2:00 in the afternoon, and it's going to be a sleepover. So when the girls arrive, (it's an all girls party,) we're going to go to the mall for about an hour or so. After that, I was thinking of doing a little fashion/modelling show to show everyone our new clothes (If we find any) for about a half hour. After that, it'll be about 4:00. Then we'll do blindfold makeovers. You go into groups of 2, and you do each others makeup, one at a time. But the person doing the makeup is blindfolded. After that, we're gonna go in the sprinkler, on my trampoline, and have some water balloon fights and stuff. Then we'll have dinner, and then gifts and cake. After that, we could go to the school across from my house and go to the park, or do T-Shirt decorating with those special markers. Then, once it gets dark out, we'll put on some music outside, (not loud enough to disturb my neighbors of course) and use a bunch of glow sticks, and have Mini Rave Party, I guess you would call it, lol. Then we'll watch some movies, and probably do an all nighter. But I'm not letting all the girls sleep over, just a few. Then in the morning we'll have breakfast at my place, and then if it's nice I guess we'll do chalk or something on my driveway or at the school, and then they go home.
Does this sound good? =) Thanks!! =D

Answer
If it's fun for you, it's fun, and that's all that matters. I did a lot of the same things for my 13th party, and played hide and seek and other kid stuff, (we were a little immature, but it was fun lol).
Have a great party!

It even sounds a little appealing to me and I'm 18, haha. Just call me lame. I love acting like my inner child self.

There are tons of bounce houses in Virginia Beach. But, I don't think there is a Trampoline Park. There is one on the other side of the water called Rebounderz. My niece took my boys and they had a great time!

Does anyone have any tips on how to feed and cloth a large family? I have 9 children and I need advice!?

We live on a tight budget. Can anyone who has a big family give me some of your tips about penny-pinching ideas. How can you afford clothing? What is your monthly food bill? Any advice is good advice for me! Thanks so much!

Answer
You can get school clothes for the kids to grow into after the season ends and they go on clearance sale.
Yard sales for summer clothes, play clothes, bicycles and things like that.
I grew up in a family of nine, we ate a lot of beans and beef stew, spaghetti, things we could make large amounts of that were healthy but economical. Chrismas our main gift was a group thing like a trampoline or something all could use then a little personal gift.
We shopped at costco or places we could buy all toiletries and food in bulk so it cost about half of the regular price grocery stores.
We went to day old bread stores for all the cookies and goodies for sack lunches and of course bread. We bought extra for the freezer to stalk up when they had a lot of the things we used.
We clipped coupons and once a month took all our glass cans and plastic to a recycling center and redeemed them for cash.
We did all our wash in cold water unless it was rank and used a clothesline to dry them.
I don't remeber the food budget but it wouldn't be relevent because I am middle aged now.

Gifts for Toddlers that don't reqire batteries?

I want to get a gift for my 4,3, and 1 year old children but i don't want to get them anything that requires batteries. Does anyone have any ideas.

Answer
Books. I love the ones with the "plastic" pages, but board books and books with paper pages are good as well.

Puzzles. You can find some at Wal Mart that have 24 large pieces, that are easy for little hands to put together. Wooden puzzles and peg puzzles are great also.

Arts and crafts supplies. I love the Aqua Doodle books and mats, they are GREAT because it is just a marker that you put water into and they basically water paint and can use it again and again. Regular crayons and coloring books work well, also. Play doh, finger paint, etc. are also good.

musical instruments. A drum, cymbals, a flute, tambourine, rain sticks, maracas, etc.

Board games. Candy Land, Chutes and Ladders, Lucky Ducks, Memory, etc.

How about outside gifts such as bubbles, balls, sidewalk chalk, beach toys to play with in the sand box?

Hot Wheels/Matchbox/Tonka cars. These work for boys or girls!

Dolls and doll accessories.

A play table and chairs, which can serve multiple purposes. You might also look into a grocery cart and/or a tea set, pretend food, etc. BTW, dolls and food work for boys and girls as well!

Dress up stuff. Hats, hair accessories, costumes you find on clearance, capes, jewelry, masks.

Puppets. Hand puppets and/or finger puppets.

Bath toys. Bubbles, dye for the water, tub crayons. You can purchase kitchen utensils very inexpensively and they work great in the tub, and even come in fun colors!

Legos, Mega Blocks, etc. are great.

Lincoln Logs and/or Tinker Toys are also great.

A good joint gift would be something like a wagon. It will get YEARS of use. Ours did.

A miniature trampoline (the kind for excercise or one for toddlers).

A ball pit.

Tunnels for them to crawl through, and/or a play house (the tent kind).

I hope these ideas help...

It's like a big balloon that floats on top of the water, and you jump from a raised platform onto it. There is also someone else on the toy, who in turn gets launched into the air and falls into the water. It looks like so much fun! But I can't figure out where to get it.

- set up a station with some type of video game, like a wii if you have one.
-trampoline, bounce house
-play kickball at a local park or in your yard
-play baseball with plastic bat and a wiffle ball, really fun
-have board games

What is the most effective and cheapest way to keep leaves and acorns off my trampoline?

Alex McMul

I have a trampoline but I live in the woods and I always have to clean it. I've heard of trampoline covers but do they work? Could I use a tarp? Anything else I could do?

Answer
Someone already mentioned trampoline tarps--it's a great way to keep off any sort of debris.

For already existing stuff, any kind of broom or rake will do the job just fine. A hose with good water pressure might be a good idea too if birds decide to use your trampoline for target practice--if they haven't already. You could use soap to really get it out (and I hear the slipping and sliding around is a small part of the fun), but I've also heard too much soap can damage the mat over time.

Hope I was of help! :)

Can you rent a huge trampoline?

inflatable trampoline lake on inflatable trampoline - water trampoline - water items - Product ...
inflatable trampoline lake image

<3 <3 <3

I am having a sweet 16 with my friend and we do not have many ideas for our party that will work, but one idea that we came up with was to rent a HUGE trampoline and put it across my backyard. Does anyone know where we can get one or a huge open jump thing (like a bounce house, but bigger and without tall walls). Also, if you have any ideas for themes (that are not too expensive) that would also be helpful. Thanks!
We live in NJ if that helps

Answer
If you or your friend's family owns property near a beach or a lake, you could probably rent a water trampoline (those get up to 25 feet around, and I can include a couple of links in my sources for you to browse through). Those are pretty good if you're planning on a fairly large party. Or, you know, it may even be possible to put one of these on land if you or your friend have a particularly large, flat backyard. Trouble is, I've never heard of anyone doing that before, and you have to consider that these are inflatable trampolines right here, so make sure there's nothing around that's capable of blowing a hole in it.

As for themes, I think that all depends on what you both enjoy--and how many people you're planning on inviting. If you like Italian or sushi, well, there's a dinner idea. If you're one for spas and pedicures, throw 'em in. Movie marathons are usually a good way to bond or pass the time as well. I'd get together with your friend for a little brainstorming session if you haven't already--I'll bet you'll come up with some great things to do that, who knows, you might never have even explored before.

Hope your sweet 16 is a good one! :)

How do I go up to a group of girls?

Chris

I'm 16
When I drive the boat( its a small aluminum row boat) around my lake theres a group of(4 or 5) girls that are swimming and sitting and talking on one of thoes inflatable trampolines. So what do I do to go up to them and talk to them? What should I say? What do I do (rember I'm driving a boat and there swimming)? How should I ask them if I can stay with them for a while?
I have a hard time talking to girls
I get nervouse
Help

Thanks

Answer
Maybe you should start off by saying hi or waving hi to them. That way it'll show that you're trying to be friendly with them. And if they wave hi back just pull over and just say hey or how's it going? (something like that) then hopefully they'll start a conversation with you. If they're friendly enough then just ask them "mind if I hang out with you girls for a while?(:" Hope this helps! Good luck (:

what is cottage life in canada?

elvis

i heard its the best life style

Answer
Cottage Life, aside from being the title of a magazine, involves having a cottage, and spending time there, away from your home. Some Canadians have year-round cottages, but most have seasonal cottages.

My cottage is seasonal. Because it is so far away from my home, we typically get there every second or third weekend, spring through fall, for just 2 or 3 days at a time. Most years that means we only actually use the cottage 15-30 days. But some years, I've been able to stay for the entire summer. A couple of years ago, I lived at my cottage from the end of June 'til the middle of October. This past summer (2009), I stayed at the cottage from August 'til the middle of September.

Cottage life for me is extremely relaxed. I own a small island, and my nearest neighbours are at least a kilometre away, by water. I'm at the end of a closed bay, which is all uninhabited Native/Crown land. It is very quiet and peaceful, save the occasional boat of fishermen.

I wake up in the morning and do this and that before getting dressed. I may go swimming or do some gardening. This summer, I made a habit of sitting out on a lounge chair on one of the decks that overlooks the bay. At 3pm, most of that deck is covered by shade, so it's perfect for sitting out and reading a book. At or around 3pm most days, I'd grab something to read and my Harman Kardon portable iPod docking station, and head out to my spot on the deck. (I have to avoid the sun because I'm very fair.) I carried that habit over to my home, when I returned. I live in a beach house on Lake Ontario and have a rear patio with loungers and outdoor "sofas" right next to the water. Because it was so enjoyable and relaxing at the cottage, I would do my afternoon reading session,s listening to music, back here at home. (I don't know why I never did that before.)

At the cottage, we do some boating (in my case, it's our mode of transportation, as opposed to "pleasure boating"), and have bonfires or barbecues. There's a lot of florae and faunae to observe. If I fished, there'd be good fishing to be had.

When we have guests, they tend to bring out all the toys we never seem to use, ourselves. There's an inflatable water trampoline, a dingy, a canoe, windsurfers, boogie boards, and more. Oh, my husband does spend as much free time as possible in the hammock. (There's never enough free time, though.)

Despite the perception of cottages, there is always A LOT of work to be done. The very nature of a residence that goes weeks, sometimes months, without any tending means the few days you are there are full of chores. There are always repairs to done, the lawn has to be mowed, the lawn and gardens weeded, and any renovations to be planned and carried out. (If I have to haul one more load of lumber to the island, I may give it all up!)

When it gets dark, I tend to retreat indoors, to watch television or a DVD, listen to music, or whatever. I had a late-night visitor this past summer, in the form of a metre-long milk snake. It's the first time a snake has made its way into the cottage. I spotted it slithering towards the television, one night. I like snakes, so I was mostly consumed with getting pictures of it. I was pretty excited. Too bad my husband was back at home, at the time. He always misses all the cool stuff.

Well, I'm sure that's TMI. ;-)

In short, having a cottage is nice, although it is a luxury, and expense and, at times, seems like more of a hassle than it's worth. But when I'm there, I wish I could stay longer.
