Answer
Choosing a water trampoline or water bouncer for summer fun can be confusing as there are a lot of options out there. Choosing the perfect fit for you and your family is all about being informed on the different types of water trampolines, water bouncers and various accessories. This guide will help you find the right product for you and your needs.

Water Bouncers

Water bouncers are often mistaken for their more expensive counterpart, water trampolines. The jumping surface of a water bouncer is connected directly to the floatation part of the bouncer instead of being connected by springs thus giving it a smaller bounce. They are typically smaller than water trampolines making them easier to store and easier to set up because they require no assembly.

Connection

* Jumping surface is connected to the floatation tube, typically by interlocking nylon webbing.
* Jumping service of bouncers is NOT connected by springs.

Assembly

* Does not require assembly, only inflation.
* Inflate and anchor before enjoying.
* Anchor should be a simple D-ring anchor or any weight over 20 pounds should suffice.
* Anchor in over six feet of water to avoid injuries.

Pricing

* Bouncers usually range in size from 10 to 15 feet in diameter.
* Bouncers are generally less expensive than water trampolines and are typically under $1,000.

Water Trampolines

Inflatable water trampolines differ from water bouncers due to the fact that they can hold heavier weight loads and tend to allow to higher jumps. The added support and higher jumps are a result of the framed jump surface that is connected by springs to a frame, which is then connected to the inflation tube.

Connection

* Jumping surface of a water trampoline is connected to the frame by springs.
* Provides significantly greater weight support and higher jumping heights.

Assembly

* Some assembly required.
* Frame and jumping surface must be assembled and attached to the floatation tube once inflated.
* Anchor needs to be at least 60 pounds and should be anchored in a place without water currents.

Pricing

* It is easy to find water trampolines priced under $1,000 but they can be over $1,000 also.
* Can be as large as 25â² in diameter and as small as 11â² in diameter.
* Typically are more expensive than water bouncers.

Styles

* Rectangular trampolines are offered that range in sizes and can be up to 25 feet in length.
* Rectangular trampolines tend to be more expensive and hold tension better because of their shape.
* Circular trampolines tend to be less expensive and do not hold tension as well but they do have a sweet spot in the middle of the mat because of the tension distribution.

Safety

Safety is one of the main concerns of many people who purchase water trampolines. Children under 6 years old should not be allowed on water trampolines and children over 6 should be supervised by an adult. Life vests should be worn at all times while enjoying your water trampoline. Also, be sure to read all directions carefully and set up your water trampoline and accessories accordingly to ensure maximum safety and fun!

Water ski or water trampoline?!?!?

Janice Col

Im having a birthday party at a lake and it will be about 7 people. Which one do you think is better?!

Answer
Water skiing in my opinion would be better. You can do it all day and take turns. The water trampoline would be fun for the first 15 minutes or so but would quickly become boring. The water trampolines are also not as fun as they may seem, the water generally absorbs half of the bounce so you can't get very high. Its fun for wrestling with guys but that's about it!

Sweet sixteen help?!!?

francisco

I want to have a sweet sixteen but not too expensive, and small not big, maybe 30-50 people. I want it outdoors but I need ideas and help! Please? My birthday is at the end of may

Answer
Here are some ideas for your party. That's a good number of people and you can pull off any number of these ideas.

Dance Party: This is by far the most popular party. Itâs the most popular for a reason, if you find the right entertainment it can be the most fun of all the different party types. Think about your school dances, many schools only have two per year of which you may only be allowed to attend one! But everywhere you look you see other people having dances on TV or in movies. Dances allow you to throw your own party just like an adult where you can have a blast with all of your closest friends. If you find a DJ who specializes in sweet sixteenâs with lights, games and contests you (or your parents) donât have to worry about anything except showing up, picking out the right music and having a blast with all of your friends! The right DJ should be able to keep the party going all night.

Rock Band, DDR or Guitar Hero Party: Why not take the games you play with your friends to the next level? Setup a screen, lighting, speakers and have a real rock championship to determine the best Rock Band, Guitar Hero, or DDR players. Setting up a tournament with brackets and themed prizes can make your sweet sixteen party a blast!

Outdoor Movie Party: Having your party outdoors can be awesome for you and your friends to take in the great summer weather and watch a movie together. You can rent all the equipment you need to have a massive outdoor screen in your backyard or by the pool so you can all watch a movie together or make a movie night out of it. Having games and party favors within the theme can help turn it into an awesome party. Big blow up screens can oftentimes cost less than $200 and can be used with standard projectors.

Pool Party: Pools are a great way for your friends to relax and hang out in the pool. Hiring a DJ to keep the music going and to incorporate the pool into the evening with contests and games can be a really great party during the summer. You can setup a giant inflatable movie screen next to the pool to show the movies on, or have a volleyball net or basketball hoop if you donât already have one for the pool.

Roller Skating/Ice Skating Party: Having an activity to focus on throughout the night is important if you donât like being the center of attention the whole night. It makes it easy for everyone to have a great time from your really outgoing guests, to friends who need a little help getting into the party. Having a really cool looking sweet sixteen cake can also help kick these parties up a notch. Having a roller or ice skating party can be a great theme option. Many rinks have a lot of creative ways to enhance your party. Having a local band or a DJ can also be a great way to kick up a party to the next level.

Lake Party: If you have a lake or campground near you, these parties can be the most memorable parties and weekends of your life. Most larger lakes have boats or pontoon boats that you can rent, or you can rent jet skis to have a blast with all your friends for your birthday party! Some lakes you can even combine pontoon boats with a dance party if the lake is big enough! You can also look into water trampolines, these can help turn your sweet sixteen party into the party of the year!

Scavenger Hunt: Having all of your friends show up ahead of time and surprising the birthday person with a party and then going out on a scavenger hunt can be an awesome party idea! It gives everyone something to do as well as adding competition into the night. Theme each stop after something that the birthday person likes or reminds you of them. You can do photo or video hunts or hunt for physical objects around town. Have the final location be a secret until you have found all the clues, then everyone can meet up at the final location to really celebrate your party with everyone together!

Best of luck!

A cute sweet sixteen/ Quince party theme?!?!?!?

katieandpe

i need a cute party theme : )

Answer
Sweet Sixteen Themes and Party Ideas:

Coming up with the perfect sweet sixteen theme doesn't have to be hard! Many times the best themes are right under your nose! Think about the best parties that you have been to, or seen on TV. Start with the sweet sixteen decorations and favors and work out from there if you are a visual person. These parties probably had a very cohesive theme to them, or felt like a good fit for the person having the party. Your party should be personal representing you, your likes, and what is most important to you for the party.

Dance Party: This is by far the most popular party theme. It's the most popular for a reason, if you find the right entertainment it can be the most fun of all the different party types. What are some good reasons to have a trampoline?

Claudia

I'm moving to a new house and I really want to get a trampoline. My mom won't let me because she thinks I don't have enough "good" reasons for one. Can anyone come up with a good reason?? Or two??

Answer
Ok. Here goes.

Trampolining is a great cardio exercise. It tones muscles, burns fat and boosts your metabolism.

It wards off obesity.

Jumping releases endorphins which give you a more positive outlook on life.

Anyone can use it. Any age or size...

You can use water on the trampoline or a sprinkler under the tramp (if the mat is mesh) for those hot summer days.

It gets you out in the great outdoors.

Its good for the heart and all other body systems by getting the blood pumping.

These are just some great reasons...hopefully that helps you out!

what is better exercise? jumping on a trampoline, or going for a swim?

grd7vy

and also to burn calories if you dont have a measurer. to know 4 sure if your burnin cals, is it when your heart starts pumping that your burnin cals 4 sure?

Answer
Swimming is by far the best exercise of all, you workout every inch of your body and the resistance you get from the water is just enough to burn those calories without straining your muscles too much.
Your heart pumping just means that you have increased your metabolic rate and that you can do in a matter of a few seconds with any exercise, so no that is not a good indicator.
Begin to listen to your body, when your muscles feel tight and you are a bit out of breath but without feeling like passing out, then you know you've given your body a good workout, that's a good measure that you have burn some if not a lot of calories.
Good luck.

What is the natural way to treat the tonsillitis or what i am to do?

Itachi Nin

i have a tonsillitis its really hurt aw.

Answer
Tonsillitis can be very frustrating. The tonsils are part of the lymphatic system in our body. As we age, they dissolve away, but are there for a reason. The lymphatic system does not have a pump like the circulatory system (has a heart) and so it relies on movement and a type of one way valve to move the lymph out of the body. The lymph contains lots of garbage, but when you have an infection somewhere in the body, you can get tonsillitis. The "itis" at the end of the word indicates infection.

Please understand that most drugs are designed to block something, suppress the immune system, etc. to achieve the result. This is contrary to healing, but we have come so dependent upon the idea that taking a pill to relieve pain is good that we seem to have forgotten that our bodies are designed to do the healing, but in many cases not without some discomfort.

Supporting your immune system to allow it to do it's job, changing your diet to support good health, will go a long way to keeping you from getting this problem in the future. Doctors treat symptoms with drugs and do not understand nutrition or how to build good immunity, etc. Antibiotics, vaccines, and drugs all tear down the immune system. That is not health building.

One thing that can really help the tonsillitis is to gargle with salt water. Salt binds to the germs and helps remove them from the throat. Coconut oil is also wonderful to take because it contains lots of caprylic and capric acid that kills virus, bacteria, and fungus. You can also put hot packs of castor oil on your throat. Get some castor oil and apply it to the outside of your throat and then put hot wash clothes on that until it gets cool and repeat for about 1/2 hour.

If you have a rebounder (small trampoline), you can get on that for about 20 minutes and on your toes, jump on it (don't have to get air), but just enough to move the ankles back and forth. That causes the lymph to flow and will help your body remove the toxins causing the problem.

EDIT: Great suggestion ANNIE.

good luck to you

Is this proper punishment for a frigid wife?

Ted M. P.

Ok, so she had a long 12 hour day at work on Saturday. She spent all day Friday cleaning the house. Is it such a big deal to set up the trampoline in the foyer? I mean the kids have spring fever, they need to exert their energy, and the foyer is the only room in the house with high enough ceilings.
So needless to say, when she came home that night, she was slightly upset. I told her I would rent one of those steamer shampoo rug cleaner things this week to remove the mud and rust stains.
Anyway, she said I had even outdone myself this time ( which, in all honesty, was rather insulting because I am capable of way stupider things than this), and until this was removed from the house, the only " jumping" I would be doing would be on the trampoline.
She is not kidding. She has brushed off every advance with the cold shoulder. She has even refused the patented full body massage with happy ending.
So, I decided if she wants to be "cold", she will be " cold". I have secretly switched off the hot water heater when she showers. The screams are priceless. What is even better, is that when I shower, the bathroom is so steamy, it actually looks like fog. She cannot understand what is happening. I told her she must not know how to use the valve properly. This has gone on since Sunday. With Valentines Day coming up, should I flip the switch back to hot?
Thank you for all your sincere answers. I believe she has learned her lesson. Maggie, your right, I do a gradual temp increase. Heybabe, its a nice thought, and we can always hope, but I do not see any happy ending at the end of this story.

level ground for inflatable pool?

randominpu

We purchased one of those large inflatable pools. The ground on our property is not at all level. What is the best/easiest way to go about leveling the ground. What kind of expense are we looking at?
were talking about a pretty good slope. We tried doing it without leveling, last year. There was too much pressure on the pool and it caused damage. Would a platform/deck of 2X4's be able to support the weight of all that water?

Answer
We dug a hole and put sand in the bottom of it for ours. However, I would not recommend this because the area we did it was already our sand box. If you make your lawn sandy, it's really hard to grow stuff. When we were done with the pool, we put our trampoline in it and it worked great.

A 10-ft wide round water trampoline is floating in a pool measuring x ft by x ft. Find a polynomial for the re?

Marsha Mas

A 10-ft wide round water trampoline is floating in a pool measuring x ft by x ft. Find a polynomial for the remaining surface area of the pool

Answer
Supposing x to be greater than or equal to 10:

Area of the pool: x^2 sq. feet

Area of the trampoline: (Ï (10/2)^2) = 25Ï sq. feet

So the remaining area = x^2 - 25Ï sq. feet

(If x is less than 10, the remaining area can be calculated, but it becomes complicated because of the overlap of the trampoline on the surrounding land. The word "floating" suggests that x is not less than 10.)

What Should be Attention When Start Your Inflatable slides Business?

Q. What Should be Attention When Start Your Inflatable slides Business

Answer
Bouncy castle and similar structures are temporary inflatable buildings and structures that are rented for functions, school and church festivals and village fetes and used for recreational purposes, mainly used by children. The growth in popularity of moonwalks has led to an inflatable rental industry which includes inflatable slides, obstacle courses, games, and more. Inflatables are ideal for portable amusements because they are easy to transport and store. The name given to such structures varies.

They have been marketed with such names as bounce house, Moon Bounce, Astrojump, Moonwalk, Jolly Jump and Spacewalk. The term "Bounce House" came to popularity with the resurgence of hipster culture in New England. "Pula pula" is another name commonly used by Latinos, which literally means "jump jump". The term 'Jolly Jumps' is often used to describe the inflatable playground structure in rural areas and some areas in the Western US, but the term is otherwise obsolete.

Although they are often aimed at children, adult castles can be hired in the many countries, like UK,US,China,Europe and so on. Because of liability concerns, moonwalks are rarely rented to adults in the US. Historically, names for inflatable structures, particularly in the United States, are composed of two, one syllable words. In the United States the terms that consist of two, one syllable words are popular. In Southern California, another popular term is Closed Inflatable Trampolines, or "CITs". Bouncy Castle or Inflatable Castle are used in Ireland, the UK, New Zealand and parts of Australia, and Jumping Castles in Arizona, Australia, Canada and South Africa.

As a whole the term moon bounce has become a generic term for enclosed inflatable trampolines worldwide. Following the popular of inflatables, more and more countries start a rental business, and the kinds of inflatables more and more day by day. Except bouncy castle, also water slide, inflatable tent, giant inflatables, bounce house for children. Many buyer found that usually people are willing buy one or two pieces of bouncy castle or water slide for their children. So not only to rental inflatble, some big imported especial import some small size family using inflatables.

Actually that brings big profit to importer, becuase inflatable field is few in their country and the cose is very expensive in Europe and America,Australia. Also some advertising company will order the big inflatable tent for sport, like tennis, basketball, football, badmin and so on. In winter many countries will snow, it will effect outdoor sports, but many youngers like outdoor sport in winter. Based on this, some smart merchant found that and place order about tent. One of my clients even order an big size of 30*60*15m for 600 people. At present his business is very good.

Help on being more flexible & more.?

inflatable trampoline bridge on ... Find crazy places and activities like an inflatable trampoline bridge
inflatable trampoline bridge image

Kristina

I am 14 years old and have been trying to get more flexible lately. I feel like I just can't succeed. Whenever I put my legs up into the air, they are not straight. I stretch before I try to do anything. I need some help and advice on what to do. Also, I can do some of these things:
â¢I can do a front walkover, but can't "recover", I can just stay in a bridge.
â¢I can do flips on my cousin's trampoline. (I don't have one)
â¢I cannot do the splits.

I also have minor scoliosis. My back is curved 11°. Could that be the probolem?

Thank You in advance! :)

Answer
No, I don't think so, not at 11 degrees.
On the walkover focus more on the center of your body around your hips. They have to come forward over your rear foot for just a split second, to pull up the rest of your body. If they stay too far back it is too hard. The same principle as in sitting cross legged and getting up out of it. You pull yourself forward and not straight up.

As for your split you really have to stretch. There is no magic to it but here are few hints to stretch correctly.
Warm up before stretching. Run, bike, jump rope.
Hold each stretch for 2 minutes at least.
Relax. Tight muscles don't stretch and most people tighten up when it hurts and there is some pain involved. If your muscles feel hard to the touch then you are tight. Come out of the stretch, let your muscles relax then go back into the stretch. You will gain nothing if you try to stretch tight muscles.
Breathe. Breathe out when lowering yourself into the stretch. Hold the stretch on your breath in then lower yourself again on your breath out. Breathe evenly and calmly. Panting while stretching because it hurts will make you tighten up and you will gain nothing.
Be patient.
DO NOT overstretch to the point where pain is excruciating. Overstretching and especially tearing are major set backs.
For splits lunges as low as you can go and keeping your upper body straight, not leaning forward are great.. You can even place your rear leg knee on the floor to allow your muscles to relax more.
Get an inflatable exercise ball. Inflate it. Then sit on it in a split with the plug accessible. Pull the plug and be ready to reinsert it quickly when you have reached your max. Hold it then pull the plug again to release a little more. Sitting on the ball allows your legs to be fully relaxed as they are not holding up your weight.
Lay on your back on the floor and your butt against a wall. It takes some scooting but your legs should be straight up against the wall. Relax the legs and open up. The weight of your legs will help with the stretch.
Flexibility is also genetic and some people no matter how much they stretch never do get the split but they still gain more flexibility from stretching.

Should I ask for my job back/getting hired at the same place?

Ice_Nova

It's been almost a year and I used to work at the mall. I worked at a sort of "Attraction" where I strap kids and young adults into harnesses and allow to them to jump and flip on these mini inflatable trampolines. I was "let go" Because I "did not have enough training." Exact words. The manager is suppose to train me enough to work the attraction. While regular jobs you get to work a nice while to learn. I had to learn the ropes within three days. (the days that I worked) A lot of people thought this was fishy too. but I didn't want to start anything so I pretty much let it go.

There is now a new manager. Is there a possibility that I can get rehired?
In all honesty i am not sure what to think about the whole "letting me go" thing.
All I know is I need a job and jobs are so hard to come by.

I thought maybe me working there before would allow me a possibility of landing this job again.

what is cottage life in canada?

elvis

i heard its the best life style

Answer
Cottage Life, aside from being the title of a magazine, involves having a cottage, and spending time there, away from your home. Some Canadians have year-round cottages, but most have seasonal cottages.

My cottage is seasonal. Because it is so far away from my home, we typically get there every second or third weekend, spring through fall, for just 2 or 3 days at a time. Most years that means we only actually use the cottage 15-30 days. But some years, I've been able to stay for the entire summer. A couple of years ago, I lived at my cottage from the end of June 'til the middle of October. This past summer (2009), I stayed at the cottage from August 'til the middle of September.

Cottage life for me is extremely relaxed. I own a small island, and my nearest neighbours are at least a kilometre away, by water. I'm at the end of a closed bay, which is all uninhabited Native/Crown land. It is very quiet and peaceful, save the occasional boat of fishermen.

I wake up in the morning and do this and that before getting dressed. I may go swimming or do some gardening. This summer, I made a habit of sitting out on a lounge chair on one of the decks that overlooks the bay. At 3pm, most of that deck is covered by shade, so it's perfect for sitting out and reading a book. At or around 3pm most days, I'd grab something to read and my Harman Kardon portable iPod docking station, and head out to my spot on the deck. (I have to avoid the sun because I'm very fair.) I carried that habit over to my home, when I returned. I live in a beach house on Lake Ontario and have a rear patio with loungers and outdoor "sofas" right next to the water. Because it was so enjoyable and relaxing at the cottage, I would do my afternoon reading session,s listening to music, back here at home. (I don't know why I never did that before.)

At the cottage, we do some boating (in my case, it's our mode of transportation, as opposed to "pleasure boating"), and have bonfires or barbecues. There's a lot of florae and faunae to observe. If I fished, there'd be good fishing to be had.

When we have guests, they tend to bring out all the toys we never seem to use, ourselves. There's an inflatable water trampoline, a dingy, a canoe, windsurfers, boogie boards, and more. Oh, my husband does spend as much free time as possible in the hammock. (There's never enough free time, though.)

Despite the perception of cottages, there is always A LOT of work to be done. The very nature of a residence that goes weeks, sometimes months, without any tending means the few days you are there are full of chores. There are always repairs to done, the lawn has to be mowed, the lawn and gardens weeded, and any renovations to be planned and carried out. (If I have to haul one more load of lumber to the island, I may give it all up!)

When it gets dark, I tend to retreat indoors, to watch television or a DVD, listen to music, or whatever. I had a late-night visitor this past summer, in the form of a metre-long milk snake. It's the first time a snake has made its way into the cottage. I spotted it slithering towards the television, one night. I like snakes, so I was mostly consumed with getting pictures of it. I was pretty excited. Too bad my husband was back at home, at the time. He always misses all the cool stuff.

Well, I'm sure that's TMI. ;-)

In short, having a cottage is nice, although it is a luxury, and expense and, at times, seems like more of a hassle than it's worth. But when I'm there, I wish I could stay longer.

what toys do you think are a great investment?

Sexy Ma

what toys do you think are a great investment? I have a 12 yr old daughter and 4 yr old son and they use the trampoline EVERYDAY! I also, have a motorcycle power wheels and my daughter will ride on it with him(we have a jeep power wheels but my daughter can't fit into that one comfortably) and a 9 ft. inflatable water slide..Both my kids have sooooo much fun on it!

Answer
I hate to spend money on big expensive toys...Mostly because kids get bored quickly and most toys break or the kids lose pieces really quickly!

I like toys like play-doh, cheap fun and easy to replace.

Our biggest investment was a play kitchen with food and pots and pans. We also built a sandbox, but sand toys are really cheap.

Our favorite toys:
Play-doh
Washable water colors
Wooden blocks
Crayons (Washable)
Books
Wooden puzzles
Hot wheels cars
Army guys
Bubbles (which you can make yourself)
Etc.

Assembly

* Some assembly required.

How is the dreams resort in Cancun, Mexico?

Lovelygirl

How is the dreams resort in Cancun, Mexico. How is the service? How is the hotel, and the food? What sorts of things are there for families to do? I am going there with my family in May. What were your experiences there? Thanks!

Answer
I was there for a week 10/08. Service was great!!! The hotel is a little older, but in good shape (we stayed in the pyramid, not the tower). Staff was very friendly. There's always someone doing something, cleaning, gardening, pushing water off the walkways after the rain, etc....

Food was good. They have everything to pick from during the breakfast buffet. The room service menu is limited, but there are a bunch of restaurants on the property to choose from. Every night they slide a paper under your door with the next days activities (bingo, pool volleyball), drink of the day, excursions, etc...... They have a program for kids. There's a water trampoline and a pyramid in the water for kids to climb on. They provide snorkels, mats to float on, beach towels, etc..... There are 2 beaches and the water is blue and very calm!

I loved it there. We were there to relax and we sure did..... I had banana-strawberry smoothies all day long on the beach! We swam with the dolphins. That's expensive, especially to purchase video/pictures afterwards. But, I did like the dolphins! We saw like 5 or 6 weddings that week at the resort. Very nice!

The only thing we really didn't like was when they would have dinner on the beach, with live entertainment. The entertainment was cool, but you have to sit with others at the tables and it's very confusing to find your table after you go through the buffet line. The buffet is long, but moves quickly, lots to pick from!

I would go back. I want to bring more people with us next time!
