Ideas needed to create a "Fun Room" for Vacation Bible School?

SAM

Each year at VBS we try to create something fun to reward the children that brought vistiors. Last year we made a maze using cardboard boxes. Another time we filled the baptismal tub (about 10ft long and 5ft wide) with balloons and about 3 inches of water for them to walk through. We thought about burring items in a sand box for them to dig for, but voted that one down because of the mess. This year are thinking about do something with a black light and packing peanuts or shreaded paper, but our own children think parts of the idea are lame. Anyone out there have some successful ideas for us to use?

Answer

Dance Party: This is by far the most popular party theme. It's the most popular for a reason, if you find the right entertainment it can be the most fun of all the different party types. Think about your school dances, many schools only have two per year of which you may only be allowed to attend one! But everywhere you look you see other people having dances on TV or in movies. Dances allow you to throw your own party just like an adult where you can have a blast with all of your closest friends. If you find a DJ who specializes in sweet sixteen's with lights, games and contests you (or your parents) don't have to worry about anything except showing up, picking out the right music and having a blast with all of your friends! The right DJ should make sure everyone is involved and keep the party going all night.

2.Rock Band, DDR or Guitar Hero Theme Party: Why not take the games you play with your friends to the next level? Setup a screen, rent some lighting and speakers and have a real rock championship to determine the best Rock Band, Guitar Hero, or DDR players. Setting up a tournament with brackets and themed prizes can make your sweet sixteen party a blast!

3.Outdoor Movie Party: Having your party outdoors can be awesome for you and your friends to take in the great summer weather and watch a movie together. You can rent all the equipment you need to have a massive screen in your backyard or by the pool so you can all watch a movie together or make a movie night out of it. Having games and party favors within the theme can help turn it into an awesome party.

4.Pool Party: Pools are a great way for your friends to relax and hang out in the pool. Hiring a DJ to keep the music going and to incorporate the pool into the evening with contests and games can be a really great party during the summer. You can setup a giant inflatable movie screen next to the pool to show the movies on, or have a volleyball net or basketball hoop if you don't already have one for the pool.

5.Roller Skating/Ice Skating Party: Having an activity to focus on throughout the night is important if you don't like being the center of attention the whole night. It makes it easy for everyone to have a great time from your really outgoing guests, to friends who need a little help getting into the party. Having a roller or ice skating party can be a great theme option. Many rinks have a lot of creative ways to enhance your party. Having a local band or a DJ can also be a great way to kick up a party to the next level.

6.Lake Party: If you have a lake or campground near you, these parties can be the most memorable parties and weekends of your life. Most larger lakes have boats or pontoon boats that you can rent, or you can rent jet skis to have a blast with all your friends for your birthday party! Some lakes you can even combine pontoon boats with a dance party if the lake is big enough! You can also look into water trampolines, these can help turn your sweet sixteen party into the party of the year!

7.Scavenger Hunt: Having all of your friends show up ahead of time and surprising the birthday person with a party and then going out on a scavenger hunt can be an awesome party idea! It gives everyone something to do as well as adding competition into the night. Theme each stop after something that the birthday person likes or reminds you of them. You can do photo or video hunts or hunt for physical objects around town. Have the final location be a secret until you have found all the clues, then everyone can meet up at the final location to really celebrate your party with everyone together!

Are naked beaches weird?

Q. I was on a teen trip with my cousin and we asked for directions to th nearest beach to where we were. We were not told it was a naked beach! When we walked in we looked for seats and there we saw a butt naked man and woman just sitting around talking to each other. We thought this was weird but we didn't comment. While looking to find a seat we saw a ton of naked people but none in the water. When we got into the water we headed for the water trampoline. Once we were on two naked teenage girls came (I think my cousin liked their boobs). They started a convortation with us about normal stuff but they mentioned if we thought it was weird that they were naked. We said that being naked in public is not regular in the USA. finally we went in and each changed the one weird thing was that in the ladies room there were no stalls they just had a wall to pee on and many girls were using it. Are naked beaches regular are girls not letting other people see their vaginas and boobs regular do many girls just pee on a wall in front of a bunch of people?

Answer
No they are not weird. I am an American and believe that it is our culture that is strange, always equating nudity with sex. I do not know where you were, but i would bet that they have fewer sex crimes and violent crimes per capita.

Is there a way to convert the energy caused by gravity into electrical energy?

water trampoline orbit on 25ft Orbit Water Trampoline - NeverChill
water trampoline orbit image

.

I don't mean like hydro electric damns where gravity pulls water down the river and into the damn creating electricity.

I'm just talking about gravity in general.
I think, everything has gravity.
Meaning that is must be some sort of force, meaning energy.
And most things "probably anything and everything through some way or another" you can transfer it into electrical energy.

#1 What causes gravity?
#2 Can't we use it in some way to directly, maybe through some machine to create electricity?

Also, If energy can not created or destroyed, then where is the gravitational force coming from?
Like what is the force pulling us down to the earth?
Where is it coming from?
Law of attraction? Well still, what is creating that energy?
Or what is holding that energy?
If is exists then it should be able to be used or transformed into energy.

I'm sure if they have water powered cars, "Yes they exist, they are nothing new, A small Japanese company is going to try to mass produce them soon, go look it up for yourself if you have doubts" eventually we might be ably to have air powered cars.

If we have all that eventually why can't we have gravity powered something?
Again, that is not energy.
Then what is it?

Answer
"#1 What causes gravity?"

Per Einstein's General Relativity, the currently most comprehensive description of gravity that Humanity has, Gravity is actually NOT a force at all. That was Newton's view. Albert said that what we perceive as an attractive force between massive bodies is actually a process of one body trying to move in a straight line within the vicinity of another body who's mass has induced a curvature on space(-time) in that region. The old analogy is a bowling ball on a trampoline with a golfball rolled past it. The golf ball will "orbit" the bowling ball that is sitting at the bottom of a depression in the rubber of the trampoline. The trampoline rubber is the fabric of space-time, the bowling ball is the sun, and the golf ball is earth. You can apply this to Earth-Moon system too. Now you zoom in on the golf ball so you can perceive its distortions to the trampoline rubber (very slight compared to the bowling ball-sun), and roll a copper BB past the golf ball....Same process occuring, just at different scales.

Einstein's GR (relatively enormous distances, massive gravity fields) can be reduced to Newton's Mechanics (relatively short distances and small gravity fields), which is what I tried to illustrate with the trampoline, bowling ball, golf ball, copper BB.
---------------------------------------------------
"Like what is the force pulling us down to the earth? ...[Gravity, damn it.]
Where is it coming from? [Newton's answer, or Einstein's?]
Law of attraction? Well still, what is creating that energy? [Ah, Newton then]

Or what is holding that energy?
If is exists then it should be able to be used or transformed into energy."
--------------------------------------------------------------------------

So Newton said Gravity is a Force. What did he say caused that Force? He didn't. In fact he explicitly wrote that he was leaving that up to others to determine; he was comfortable to let the Force be "caused" by God's simple willing it to be.

Einstein said Gravity is not Force, it is a particular geometry of space-time (he used Reimmann Geometry) that for us APPEARS as forces acting between bodies at a distance.

Neither viewed Gravity as Energy, and only one thought of it as a force. But Newton understood that Forces are not Energy, and Energy is not a Force. Indeed the concept or term "Force" was introduced by Newton as that "mysterious causative agent" of attraction. We've gotten used to it since then.

I like to believe Humans could devise a device that could induce gravitational fields, which give rise to gravitational force, which could be used to move objects....sure, why not? But you should see immediately that this is quite some ways off. If we go purely by Einstein's GR, we need HUGE gravitational fields that would be our doom. But if we can develop a physically accurate synthesis of the Quantum and GR, so that we can induce and control microscale process related to gravity (hahaha, i said microscale...quite a bit smaller than that actually) maybe we could get something small enough to put in a cupboard but able to generate fields high enough to get some real work done. Think: It takes the whole earth to get our grav field (the downward acceleration we experience). How big a bowling ball would you have to pop out of thin air so that nearby objects "think" they are too high off the "ground" and fall toward the object? How close would the bowling ball have to be to exert this accelerating attraction? Pop the bowling ball up in the corner of the kitchen, and it would be cool to have it drag your garbage from all around the house then (after deactivating) drop it into the waste basket...!!!!!! Only the future will tell.

Hypothetical question about Special Relativity and Newton's Law of Gravity...?

Corruptor

Albert Einstein published his paper on the Special Theory of Relativity. One consequence of this theory was that nothing could travel THROUGH space faster than the speed of light. This extended beyond material things: information and the effects of force fi elds were included too. Einstein realised that this was not compatible with Newtonâs Law of Gravitation which implied âinstantaneous action at a distanceâ. I have stressed the word âthroughâ. It IS INDEED possible for the expansion of space to carry objects apart faster than the speed of light â indeed we believe that this happened during a period called âinfl ationâ close to the origin of the universe. Imagine making a currant bun: currants are packed tightly into the dough which is then placed into an oven. When cooked, one hopes that the dough will have expanded, increasing the separation of the currants. They have not moved THROUGH the dough, but have been carried apart by the EXPANSION of the dough.

Perhaps a thought experiment will help to make the incompatibility of Newtonâs theory with special relativity clear. Suppose that the Sun could suddenly cease to exist. Under Newtonâs gravity, where the effect of a change in mass would be instantly felt throughout the universe, the Earth would immediately fl y off at a tangent. Einstein realised that this could not be the case. Not only would we not be aware of the demise of the Sun for 8.31 min â the time that light takes to travel from the Sun to the Earth â but the Earth must continue to feel the gravitational effects of the Sun for just the same time, and would only fl y off at a tangent at the moment we ceased to see the Sun. This assumes, of course, that whatever carries the information about the gravitational fi eld of the

oh also she like to be advertisers

so what could i do

Answer
If she likes animals check with your local Zoo. Our Zoo offers b-day parties. Or you may do a party in your backyard or local park, just rent an inflatable castle (some have built-in slide). This will take care of kids entertainment. Add pizza, cake, and goody bags and you have your party. Check http://www.toddler-net.com/Birthday_page1.html for more ideas.
Kids gym may be another option: usually they provide entertainment (including trampolines) and you bring food, cake, and drinks.

Good luck!

What is the difference between a water trampoline and a water bouncer? 10 points for best answer!?

I want to buy a water trampoline and was wondering the difference between a water trampoline and a water bouncer. I am a competitive gymnast and need a lot of bounce. My budget is tight. I do not want to spend over $400 dollars. Can you tell me which one is cheaper. Thanks for your help! it would be very helpful if you include links.

Answer
I swear I answered like 10 of these exact questions. A few by you. I don't get it. Why are you posting the same question over and over again? Anyway...

Q: What is the difference between a water trampoline and a water bouncer?

A: A water trampoline and a water bouncer have a few distinct differences. Water bouncers tend to be smaller, less expensive and also do not produce as high of jumps. This is because water bouncers have netting that is attached directly to the inflation tube whereas water trampolineâs netting is attached by springs to a frame which allows for higher bouncing and can support heavier weight loads.

Water trampolines and bounce platforms look very similar and indeed are similar. Both water trampolines and bounce platforms are have a bounce surface and both can be used for hours of fun. Attachments are offered for both water trampolines and bounce platforms. Attachments can include slides, logs and ladders. Water trampolines have a bounce surface supported by a steel frame and trampoline springs, bounce platforms have jump surface supported by a spring-less interlocking webbing connected from the floatation tube to the jump surface. Water trampolines can hold more weight and will have a higher jump compared to a bounce platform.

Bounce platforms are a great family recreational product and costs less then a water trampoline. It will support a good amount of weight and will provide a short bounce. Generally a bouncer will not require any assembly other then inflating and anchoring. A water trampoline requires assembling the framed jump surface. This will take about 30 minutes additional set-up time. Because of these differences water trampolines are generally higher priced then bounce platforms.

How do you stop Seagulls from landing on water trampolines?

Got a very large water trampoline and its constantly covered with seagulls, which of course shit all over it. Tried the fake owl thing, but they are smarter then they look. What can I do?

Answer
Good luck, but the good news is that if you can find a way that works you'll be rich. Most major airports have the same problem at the end of their runways. The gulls all land and take off when they get scared by planes landing or taking off. When they flock like that they get sucked into the engines of the planes and the engines die. They found an answer by bringing falconers down with their birds to chase the gulls. This works, and they record the sound of the falcons and play it back just before take off and landing. Well it works, but only for awhile. After awhile those smart gulls learn that there really isn't a falcon, and stop flying away in fright. That's when they have to bring the real falconers back to retrain the gulls to be afraid again.

Another thing you could try is like a windmill that would just keep rotating on the trampoline to keep pushing the gulls away, but they even learn to block the windmill and sit anyway. You also have to be careful not to hurt the gulls. They are a protected species, because they eat all of the garbage like dead fish. There are big fines for killing or hurting seagulls on purpose.

You can at least be thankful that you only have seagulls. We have problems with cormorants, and their mess is a lot harder to clean up after.

Awesome birthday ideas? (15 year old girl)?

water trampolines on craigslist image

Brooke

I'm turning 15 soon and I want to throw a really awesome unique birthday party. We're willing to spend some money, but I want it to be unique, not just rent a limo or play board games and truth or dare. Preferably something I can do at home (I have a biggish yard so I have space to do it.) We were originally going to get a bouncy castle type thing, but we didn't want anyone to get hurt. Any ideas would help. :)

Answer
well if you have a trampoline use it, if you dont rent or buy one off craigslist, if you have one, but no net, buy a net. get a kiddy pool put ice and drinks in it. have it in the evening. have a bon fire going. have water balloons, squirt guns, music playing, lots of people, have contests, and prizes. get a canopy tent, and put food under it. lots of food depending on the amount of people. if you have a pool, thats even better. i hope i helped.
ps only do the water stuff if you live where its hot, obviously :)

Hobie Cat versus normal sailboat techniques?

Casey

I am an intermediate sailor, and I have a significant amount of experience on lasers, holder-14's, and 20 ft keel boats. I am now feeling ready to buy my first boat, and have been struck by the speed of the hobie cats. What are the major differences between the two? Is the trampoline uncomfortable to sit on for an extended period of time? What length would be good to start for me? I have seen several 14, 16, and 18 foot hobies within my price range on craigslist.com. I live in Folsom, and so would be sailing on Folsom Lake, where (just guestimating here) the winds go anywhere from 10-25 mph on a lake with about a 4 mile diameter. I can't seem to find a place to rent hobie cats in the sacramento area, does anyone know of one?
Thanks for your help in advance,
-Casey

Answer
All cats are notorious with being hard to tack ( bring bow through the eye of the wind). On a 4 mile wide lake & the high speed of a cat you will be tacking very often ( do the math).. Jibing around an option but hard on equipment. Doesnt sound like very much fun. Bigger water the answer.

Have a decent diet plan just want an exercise plan

Answer
You can lose 50 lbs in just 5 mo. with this low-carb food/exercise plan:

Breakfast: Cook 9-grain cereal (from health food store) in water with rolled oats and wheat bran. Make a pot of it on weekends and nuke 1/2 cup each morning. Then stir in low fat milk or yogurt, banana, walnuts and berries. Drink hot Ovaltine. Breakfast should be your largest meal of the day to raise blood sugar level which falls during the night.

Lunch: Egg, tuna or turkey ½ sandwich on multi-grain (not just whole wheat) bread with bean or alfalfa sprouts, yogurt, fresh fruit. If you had meat loaf for dinner, bring a meat loaf sandwich on whole grain bread (NO mayo). On cold days, a squatty thermos of hot chili, split peas with ham, or beef stew.

Snacks: Fresh (not canned) fruit. Nothing ever from a vending machine.
Fruit smoothies.

Dinner: salad with white meat chicken and fresh (not canned) veggies: tomatoes, 2 kinds of lettuce, 2 kinds of shredded cabbage, shredded or sliced carrots, alfalfa or bean sprouts, zucchini, green or red peppers, hard boiled eggs, brussels sprouts, broccoli, cauliflower, tofu, cottage cheese, spinach...Instead of dressing, squeeze 1/4 tomato over it.

Or homemade bean/vegetable soups; great way to recycle leftovers.
Or grilled fish with steamed veggies.

Or omelet: In blender, whip together eggs, tofu, cottage cheese, onions, garlic powder. Cook with mushrooms, chopped tomatoes and green or red peppers.

Avoid junk food, fast foods, gluten, pastries, desserts, syrup (even canned fruit in syrup), peanut butter, fat/grease (pork, wieners, chops, bacon, salami, pizza, chips, fries), pasta, potatoes, ramen, popcorn, white bread, rice, canned veggies, ice cream (itâs lard + chemicals), chips, tobacco, alcohol (kills brain cells).coffee (carcinogenic). no oil except olive and mac nut. Sodas (loaded with toxins; leads to stroke, obesity, kidney damage, high BP and inhibits bone growth in kids), anything with sugar (cancer cells feed on sugar, it wreaks havoc on your liver, mucks up metabolism, impairs brain function, makes you more susceptible to heart disease and diabetes),
To keep your skin clear, drink water, tea, veggie juice, unsweetened fruit juice.

Join a gym; they have all the equipment and staff to show you how to use it to get the look you want to achieve, but you have to ask them. Much cheaper than buying your own equipment. Go hiking, biking, jogging, bowling, swimming, rowing, jump rope, play tennis, badminton, volleyball, soccer, jumping jacks, lift weights, trampoline? To tone your tummy, do sit ups, push ups, pull ups, leg lifts, butt raises and crunches.

For more energy, take Super B complex. Try appetite suppressants.

100 ft garden - what could I put in there?

I may move into the house with a 100ft garden is there really big?
And what stuff can I put in;
I'm thinking;
-trampoline
-cricket nets(how much are these in the uk)
- football posts
Any more suggestions + prices please
Thank you!

Answer
Kaviani9 is right about 100 square feet--do you perhaps mean 100 feet long? If so, you do have room for a trampoline. You also have room for football goalposts, but not a football playing field--these are 300 feet, or 100 yards, long. Likewise with cricket nets, but I'm unfamiliar with the regulation size of cricket court/field/? One thing you may want to consider: If you're renting this property instead of buying, make sure you clear any construction with the owner.

The prices will depend on exactly what you decide to install and where/when your purchase is made--often suppliers will have seasonal sales.

You could also, as suggested already, put in vegetables, flowers, shrubs, trees, or water features, but if sports appeal to you more, go for it!

How hot and humid is Houston in the summer?

WYETT M

I'm going to be traveling there in a week or so.. how hot is the weather there and are there any lakes, rivers, places to go swimming besides the hotel pool?

Answer
Today's high is 97 with a heat index of 103 and a low of 77. Humidity ranges between 65% and 84%. It's safe to assume it would remain pretty steady in those temps for the next 2-3 weeks. Rain is hit and miss... it's hurricane season and tropical storms pop up quickly.

Man made water fun: Splashtown water park (20 mins N of down town Houston) or Shlitterbauhn (45 mins or so S of downtown).

Natural water fun (fishing, swimming, camping, boat or jetski rental): Lake Houston (20 mins NE of down town), Lake Conroe (1 hr N of d.t.), Clear Lake (Galveston Bay 45 mins S of d.t.) or Keimah is in the same area. San Jacinto River (20 mins E/NE of d.t.) has several parks off of it that you can swim at such as Loves Marina on Hwy 90 E (camp grounds, pic nick tables with day or overnight options) or Kingwood Park off of WoodlandHills Dr (day access and boat ramps) or probably the most popular, Banana Bend in Highlands, TX (20 mins E of d.t.) to name a couple. In Crosby (20 mins E of d.t. Hou) is Cecil's Water Park, they have man made lakes with water slides, water trampolines, beach volley ball and other fun activities and often have night time events with bands during the summer. I've added the link to their myspace (their myspace background is deceiving since it's also water realted BUT they do have pics on their page).

It's been almost a year and I used to work at the mall. I worked at a sort of "Attraction" where I strap kids and young adults into harnesses and allow to them to jump and flip on these mini inflatable trampolines. I was "let go" Because I "did not have enough training." Exact words. The manager is suppose to train me enough to work the attraction. While regular jobs you get to work a nice while to learn. I had to learn the ropes within three days. (the days that I worked) A lot of people thought this was fishy too. but I didn't want to start anything so I pretty much let it go.

There is now a new manager. Is there a possibility that I can get rehired?
In all honesty i am not sure what to think about the whole "letting me go" thing.
All I know is I need a job and jobs are so hard to come by.

I thought maybe me working there before would allow me a possibility of landing this job again.

I need a creative business name?

I need a creative business name for an indoor party place that houses inflatable obstacle courses, trampoline dodgeball, bungee racing, inflatable slides, etc. It will be available for private parties for kids, but also for corporate events and such, therefore, it should be attractive sounding towards kids, teens and adults. It has a lot of jumping involved, a lot of energy...any thoughts?

Answer
Kay here are some I thought of:

1. Bounce & Giggle
2. The fun place
3. Athletic Arena
4. Jumping at (your name here)
5. Bounce place

Hope you like them and good luck with your business. =)

I've always wondered what happens when someone shoots a gun into the air - - ?

water trampoline launch on Water Trampoline Launch - RAVE Sports Aqua Launch Water Trampoline ...
water trampoline launch image

Azeri

Obviously the type of firearm and bullet, the angle the gun is pointed and the speed of the wind and density of the atmosphere are all factors, but generally, at some point the bullet stops going up and starts responding to gravity and falling back to earth, so I've always wondered how fast it's going as it falls and if it were to land on someone's head, if it would cause damage (or on a windshield. . .) And I wonder how far away it is when it comes down. I wonder if anyone has ever been hit on the head by a random falling bullet. Any comments or responses or anecdotal stories would be amusing and appreciated. (does anyone else out there think about these kind of things???)
Thanks all, for the answers! Glad to know others think about these things. And good luck to you (Bob) with the water vapour collection idea. Sometimes I wonder just how many more principles and inventions are yet to be discovered and invented.

Answer
4-6 inches into the ground?-nice. projectiles can be analysed in terms of there horizontal velocity and there vertical velocity. basically when u shoot a bullet horizontally the horizontal velocity will be decreasing due to air resistance and the vertical velocity will be increasing due to gravity (which is always acting, not just at some arbitrary time). If u shoot a bullet upwards it will only have a upwards velocity which is decreasing because of gravity and air resistance up until a point where it just stop- like when u are at you peak of a jump on a trampoline. It will then just free fall continuing to get faster until it reaches terminal velocity then just continue falling at that speed. this is the basic idea anyway. Just a thing to note is that when u launch a bullet from a gun it spins so that the poi9nted bit is always facing forwards. But when it is falling from the sky it wont have any spin left so it will tumble liek a badly designed paper plane try to fly through the air and will have a more air resistance. As for stories im pretty boring so i dont have any of them in my arsenal as of yet. Of course other people think of things like this, thats how many of the worlds greatest inventions get made.
What im thinking about is, when jets start flying at supersonic speeds (speed of sound, 343m/s) they leave this cool sort of triangular shaped mist around them (water vapour) which is a result of very high pressure water that is just condensing to form water droplets. If you had a device with a arm that spins super fast and condenses the water inside the vessel and then collects the water at the bottom for you, to drink mayb? which would be useful in a desert for example. anyway thats what im gonna spend my time researching at some point in time.

what is your dream garden?

Explain what you would want in your garden, how you would like your garden to change, what sort of flowers you would have, would you have pets and how many, would you have a gardener working for you, would it be an english garden, a french garden, a maze or just a field, would you have a playhouse, a trampoline, a playground or no games at all, would you have a glasshouse, a relaxing room, an edible garden or just the usual...
This does not mean it is going to happen, it is just for fun!

Missy L

I have always been on the 'thick' side but after recent stress and problems with my body trying to go through menopause, my metabolism slowed and I have gained over 50lbs in less than a year. I'm actually comfortable with my body, except my arms and stomach. I have 'fat girl' arms and a baby pouch stomach. What are some exercises I can do to get rid of the excess fat on my arms and stomach? And also things I can do about speeding up my metabolism? Thank you!

Answer
Combining Aerobic Exercise With Toning Exercises Along With Eating Healthy Will Give You Quick Results:

1. AEROBIC EXERCISE
Aerobic/Cardio Exercise will get rid of FAT located ANYWHERE on the body! Burn calories/fat by doing aerobic exercise at least 30 to 45 minutes per day, 4 or 5 days per week. Each person is different! You may need MORE or LESS exercise depending on your age, body weight, and calorie/food intake. Do a Warm Up and Stretches BEFORE exercising to prevent injury! Do a Cool Down and Stretches AFTER exercising to prevent body stiffness! You must continue to SHOCK YOUR BODY to keep losing weight! If you do the SAME exercise routine for months, your body will get use to that routine and not work as hard to burn calories/fat, therefore you will not see results! Easy INDOOR aerboic exercise includes dancing to your favorite music (dance hard to break a sweat), step aerobics using a step bench, rebound aerobics using a mini trampoline, or doing aerobic exercise videos that can be bought at Amazon website or Collage Video website.

2. TONE YOUR WHOLE BODY OR YOUR ABS
Callanetics is deep muscle exercises using small and gentle motions that will QUICKLY tighten hips, butt, thighs, flatten the belly, lift the bust, firm the underarms, and tone the entire body. Go to Amazaon website and read the reviews for the exercise DVD or VHS tape: Callanetics 10 Years Younger In 10 Hours by Callan Pinckney. Over 100 people gave this video 5 stars! Also, this 1986 video is still being manufactured because of the high positive reviews! Per other reviews, the Callanetics 10 Years Younger In 10 Hours (dvd) includes the Quick Callanetics Stomach (dvd) routine on it. Google search Callenetics Management Company to find Callan Pinckney official website. TONING EXERCISES or Weight/Resistance/Strength Training helps define, tone, and strengthen your muscles, plus it INCREASES YOUR METABOLISM TO BURN MORE CALORIES/FAT. Don't do toning exercises on consecutive days! Your muscles need at least 1 day of rest to repair themselves!

3. EAT MORE HEALTHY FOODS AND LIMIT JUNK FOOD
There is NO NEED TO DO A SPECIAL DIET, just simply eat more healthy foods/drink water and limit junk food! When it comes to eating unhealthy/junk foods, learn MODERATION and PORTION CONTROL! Limit your intake (not completely stop eating, which is unreasonable) of the following things: greasy/oily/fried foods, high fat dairy foods, animal meat that has untrimmed fat (eat LEAN meat only), desserts, chips, candy, soda pop, punch, coffee, tea, alcohol, frozen meals, fast food restaurants, and other foods/liquids that are high in sugar, salt, sodium, fat, calories. Read the nutrition label on each product before buying! Also, eating some fat is necessary for good health! Good fats are the unsaturated fats and bad fats are the saturated fats.

OTHER IMPORTANT INFORMATION:
1.HEALTHY WEIGHT LOSS IS A VERY SLOW PROCESS! You should only lose a maximum of 2 pounds per week! One pound equals 3500 calories. Losing more than 2 pounds a week is dangerous: You will be REDUCING your MINIMUM nutritional requirements for good health!

2. The AVERAGE recommended daily calorie intake is 2500 calories a day for men and 2000 calories a day for women. Each person is different! Your calorie intake may be LOWER or HIGHER depending on your weight, muscle mass, and activity levels.

3. "Spot Reduction" is a myth! You can not exercise a specific area on your body to lose weight in that area. EXAMPLE: Stomach toning exercises will strengthen, tone, and define your abdominal muscles. That is why you will hear people say "I can feel my abs burning" or "My abs hurt". You are exercising ab MUSCLES, not the fat surrounding your stomach. Muscle and fat are two different tissues that are separate from each other. The only way to get rid of FAT located ANYWHERE on the body is by doing aerobic exercise.

4. Female weight training/toning exercises can make you look bulky and masculine is a myth! It is impossible for females to get bulky masculine looking muscles because women do not naturally produce as much testosterone as males do. Female bodybuilders have to use steroids (synthetic testosterone) and other drugs to achieve their muscularity. Also, women can not get a "six pack" like men. If steroids are NOT used, women can only get a flat toned feminine looking stomach.

How to lose weight, what foods to eat?

I am 5'4 and weigh 140. I used to be in cheerleading but stopped two years ago. I was fit and weighed 127. I feel like its so hard to lose this weight!!! What exercise should I do and for how long?!?! And what kind of meals should I eat for breakfast lunch and dinner? Thanks guys!!

Go to Amazon website and read the reviews for the exercise DVD or VHS tape: Callanetics 10 Years Younger In 10 Hours by Callan Pinckney. Over 100 people gave this video 5 stars! How can i go to Boracay West Cove?

I want to see for myself the beauty of West Cove. I heard a lot about it in the newspaper so I want to see it in person.

Answer
How to get there my friend:

By Plane
From Manilaâs domestic airport or from Cebu airport, take flights to Boracay either via Kalibo (45 minutes away) or via Caticlan (30-40 minutes away). From Kalibo airport, air-conditioned vans and buses for hire will take you to the Caticlan Jetty Port, where boats are stationed to take you to the island. Motorized tricyles will take you from Caticlan airport to the jetty port, 3 minutes away. From Caticlan jetty port, boat ride will take 15-20 minutes to get to Boracay.

When your in Boracay, take a tricycle ride going to Diniwid Beach to reach Boracay West Cove.

Airlines serving Kalibo and Caticlan include the following:

Manila to Caticlan:

â¢Asian Spirit
â¢South East Asian Airlines (SEAir)

Manila to Kalibo:

â¢Cebu Pacific
â¢Philippine Airlines

Cebu to Caticlan:

â¢Asian Spirit
â¢South East Asian Airlines (SEAir)

Cebu to Kalibo:

â¢Cebu Pacific

(Some of these air carriers may provide only seasonal service on the listed routes)

Around the island

On the island, the two main modes of transport are via motor-tricycles along the main road or by walking along the beaches. Pedicabs are also available for transport along the Beachfront Path. Other means of transportation include mountain bikes, quadbikes and motorbikes, all of which can be rented.

To explore around the island's coast, motorized bancas and sailing paraws are available for rent. These are outrigger canoes and are common sight in waters around the island. The sailing paraw is a narrow hulled boat with outriggers either side and with passengers sometimes seated on a trampoline platform between the outrigger supports. These are extremely fast off the wind, but can be unwieldy for inexperienced sailors.

What should I do for a few days in Cornwall?

Goddess of

Going for my cousin's wedding, so there's that, but we'll have (Good) Friday and Saturday, and perhaps (Easter) Sunday to drive around a bit.
Me, husband, daughters 11 & 8. Staying near Newquay.

Answer
Minack theatre have a show on. It's an open air theatre in the cliff overlooking the sea -absolutely stunning. Worth doing at some point if you dont manage to get tickets this time. Dairyland is near newquay with its animals and trampolines, might be a bit young for the 11 year old though? have a look online. I would highly reccomend the Camel Trail, it's the old railway and it follows the river so its all flat - you should start in wadebridge and cycle to padstow for lunch and back. theres cycle hire shops at both ends, could even get a tandem! Padstow has some really nice places for food too, nice pubs and even rick steins restaurant or fish and chip shop. Really good day out and the kids are bound to like the cycle ride. The Watering Hole is a really nice pub actually on the beach in Perranporth, -just along the coast from newquay- its not overly cheap (but not too expensive) and its family friendly with great food. just remember to wear shoes that you dont mind walking on the beach in! Have a great time!

Is there a maximum distance from shore that I can put my water trampoline?

water trampolines and more image

LUCKY

We have a cabin in Minnesota and I was wondering if there is a maximum distance from shore that you can put rafts or water trampolines? If so, does anyone know the distance? Thanks.

Answer
You need to provide more information. Are you planning to leave it there for the summer or just move it back and forth? If you plan to leave it there you'll need to mark it and light it in some way so that boaters will see the obstruction. You should also keep it clear of any navigation channels that might be near by. You really should ask this question of your local lake association. See if they have any specific rules. If they don't you still want to make sure you make everything as safe as possible, or they will quickly make rules as strict as possible to get rid of trampolines completely. If you place it off shore and someone runs into it at night, you will be legally liable for placing the obstruction out there. If someone simply comes along and tries using your trampoline, and hurts themselves, you will be legally liable because you left it there unsupervised. You need to be very careful how you proceed.

At least get it out as far as you want once and have a great time and enjoy your summer.

What are some great outdoor tanning tips?

Stella

I know you should spray water on your skin to help tan, but is there anything else I can do?

Answer
Try laying on a black towel, or if you have a trampoline, lay on that to tan.
Bring a big water bottle to keep hydrated.
This is going to sound weird but flip over every 45 minute, like a rotisserie chicken does when it cooking.
Stay outside until your the desirable color you want. Try a little low spf sunscreen or tanning lotion may help.
Good luck tanning. xx

What is the most effective and cheapest way to keep leaves and acorns off my trampoline?

Alex McMul

I have a trampoline but I live in the woods and I always have to clean it. I've heard of trampoline covers but do they work? Could I use a tarp? Anything else I could do?

Answer
Someone already mentioned trampoline tarps--it's a great way to keep off any sort of debris.

For already existing stuff, any kind of broom or rake will do the job just fine. A hose with good water pressure might be a good idea too if birds decide to use your trampoline for target practice--if they haven't already. You could use soap to really get it out (and I hear the slipping and sliding around is a small part of the fun), but I've also heard too much soap can damage the mat over time.

Hope I was of help! :)
