does anyone know where to get a cheap good quality water trampoline?

Alyssa C

Answer
Feel free to check out the link above (or your nearest costco) but let me first say, after having a trampoline at the public pool I worked at- it spent most of the summer out of the pool.

First of all, its in water, and therefore even the best ones don't "bounce" like a trampoline, so they are really just large expensive platforms.

Secondly, they are great for "king of the hill" games, but not much else, since the push from diving off of them sends them across the pool behind you.

Knowing these limitations (and you may already have experienced one) then I'd say go for it if you really want one, they can be a lot of fun.

The first link is for a high-quality (but expensive) trampoline,
The second if for cheap deals, and low to medium quality.

Best of Luck!

Am thinking of buying a rebounder/trampoline from Costco for exercise. I am 64 w/ one hip replacement?

Zelda

My doc told me I can't run or play tennis. I should walk and can ski. Your experience/impression? Looks like fun! Thanks!

Answer
As an owner of two hip replacements, my gut feeling on this is negative. I wouldn't do it myself. High impact activities can shorten the life of your implant. This strikes me as a high impact activity. I'm sure it's fun but your hip might not think so - certainly not on a regular basis.
Suggestions for activities that would be good for you & gentler on your hip: bicycling (stationary or not), elliptical trainer (no impact there but slowly build up to higher resistance and you can get a very good workout), rowing, walking, xcountry skiing, anything in water.

Where can i rent a water trampoline in Portland, Oregon?

laxlexie99

Answer
Did a lot of research that say's you can't. I imagine it has something to do with the cost of the trampoline itself and the amount they would have to charge for a rental once insurance was calculated into the equation.

It's probably similar to roadside trampoline places they used to have. They used to attract a lot of people to jump on their tramps, which were sunk into the ground and had padding all around the outsides. Once they had a couple of major accidents the insurance went through the roof, and all the sites disappeared.

water trampolines at Shaver Lake?

Christy

I looked it up and I found out they have some to rent. But I was wondering if they are only for kids...it said kids next to it and then a price of 10$ anyone know if adults can rent them to and is it more money for an adult to rent and use? I'm 21 but I have always wanted one as a kid and thought it would be so fun to jump on so to find out they have them here at shaver is so cool! :)

Answer
The only water trampolines I've ever seen were made big enough for adults. The price sounds reasonable, and I'd say just go for it. I'm actually guessing that the real price will be $10 for five or ten minutes, but if you really want to try it, go for it, it's cheap enough to get it out of your system...

Hope you have a great time on the water trampolines..

A cute sweet sixteen/ Quince party theme?!?!?!?

katieandpe

i need a cute party theme : )

Answer
Sweet Sixteen Themes and Party Ideas:

Coming up with the perfect sweet sixteen theme doesn't have to be hard! Many times the best themes are right under your nose! Think about the best parties that you have been to, or seen on TV. Start with the sweet sixteen decorations and favors and work out from there if you are a visual person. These parties probably had a very cohesive theme to them, or felt like a good fit for the person having the party. Your party should be personal representing you, your likes, and what is most important to you for the party.

Dance Party: This is by far the most popular party theme. It's the most popular for a reason, if you find the right entertainment it can be the most fun of all the different party types. Think about your school dances, many schools only have two per year of which you may only be allowed to attend one! But everywhere you look you see other people having dances on TV or in movies. Dances allow you to throw your own party just like an adult where you can have a blast with all of your closest friends. If you find a DJ who specializes in sweet sixteen's with lights, games and contests you (or your parents) don't have to worry about anything except showing up, picking out the right music and having a blast with all of your friends! The right DJ should make sure everyone is involved and keep the party going all night.

Rock Band, DDR or Guitar Hero Theme Party: Why not take the games you play with your friends to the next level? Setup a screen, rent some lighting and speakers and have a real rock championship to determine the best Rock Band, Guitar Hero, or DDR players. Setting up a tournament with brackets and themed prizes can make your sweet sixteen party a blast!

Outdoor Movie Party: Having your party outdoors can be awesome for you and your friends to take in the great summer weather and watch a movie together. You can rent all the equipment you need to have a massive screen in your backyard or by the pool so you can all watch a movie together or make a movie night out of it. Having games and party favors within the theme can help turn it into an awesome party.

Pool Party: Pools are a great way for your friends to relax and hang out in the pool. Hiring a DJ to keep the music going and to incorporate the pool into the evening with contests and games can be a really great party during the summer. You can setup a giant inflatable movie screen next to the pool to show the movies on, or have a volleyball net or basketball hoop if you don't already have one for the pool.

Roller Skating/Ice Skating Party: Having an activity to focus on throughout the night is important if you don't like being the center of attention the whole night. It makes it easy for everyone to have a great time from your really outgoing guests, to friends who need a little help getting into the party. Having a roller or ice skating party can be a great theme option. Many rinks have a lot of creative ways to enhance your party. Having a local band or a DJ can also be a great way to kick up a party to the next level.

Lake Party: If you have a lake or campground near you, these parties can be the most memorable parties and weekends of your life. Most larger lakes have boats or pontoon boats that you can rent, or you can rent jet skis to have a blast with all your friends for your birthday party! Some lakes you can even combine pontoon boats with a dance party if the lake is big enough! You can also look into water trampolines, these can help turn your sweet sixteen party into the party of the year!

Scavenger Hunt: Having all of your friends show up ahead of time and surprising the birthday person with a party and then going out on a scavenger hunt can be an awesome party idea! It gives everyone something to do as well as adding competition into the night. Theme each stop after something that the birthday person likes or reminds you of them. You can do photo or video hunts or hunt for physical objects around town. Have the final location be a secret until you have found all the clues, then everyone can meet up at the final location to really celebrate your party with everyone together!
Once you've determined the type of party that you would like to have, then you start need to thinking about sweet sixteen decorations, djs, photography, and venues to host your party. These are all very important and finding the right combination can mean the difference between an amazing party and the worst night of your life!

Sweet Sixteen Themes:

Highlighter/Blacklight Party
Glow all-night-long Sweet Sixteen
Pretty in Pink
Dress to Impress
Mardis Gras
Under the Stars
Slumber Sweet Sixteen
Glamour Sweet Sixteen Party
Diamonds and Denim
Masquerade the Night Away
Red Carpet Sweet Sixteen
Hollywood Sweet Sixteen Party
Chocolate Party
Sugary Sweet Sixteen
Luau Sweet Sixteen
Fairytale Sweet Sixteen
Jocks and Cheerleader Sweet Sixteen Party

Does anyone have any good ideas for a 16 birthday party?

need help in losing weight please?

Ok i need some help to lose 10 pounds in 13 days, by nov 5th. i started working out about 2 months ago, im 5'6, i started at 200 lbs. now im at around 178, jeans size went from 38 to 33/34.
im joining the navy, thats why i have a time limit.

ok so my goal is to lose 10 pounds in 13 days, for some reason im hardly losing inches around my waste ( at the belly button) only went from 41 inches to about 38. right now i go to the gym, i do about 45 mins of cardio ( 3-4 miles) and then some weights for 30 mins, thats in the morning, about 4-6 later i go back to the gym for a boxing class or two. i run on about 500-800 calories during the week, and around 1000-1800 on the weekends. during the week i mainly have oatmeal and v8, maybe 100% whole bread, and on the weekends maybe ill have subway or a burrito bowl ( mainly beans and meat)

so im looking for any tips that will help me lose about 10 pounds by nov 5. i understand i am also losing muscle but thats fine for now, i will do muscle building when i hit about 150-160. as of today i can still curl 30 lbs pound dumbbells, do about 5-10 pull ups, and 50 push ups all at once. safety is not an issue if its within reason, i will not go throw up lol.

also i did start wearing a waist trimmer as of last week and a thigh timmers this week, so i use them both now.

so im looking for any tips and tips only people, i dont want to hear how i should eat more, becuz i tried that and it doesnt work for me, when i hit about 185 i stayed there cuz i kept eating "healthly." my body can run on very little, it would be nice if it ran on all the fat it has now lol,

so thanks for anyone that can help me

Answer
You should run on the treadmill at 6mph for 1 hour each day. Make your daily calories under 1800. And yes, drinking water is great. If working out gets boring, then you may try something fun like swimming or jumping on trampolines for 2 hours a day.

How long does it take until the effects of not eating show ? answer?

Q. i mean like having under 150 calories a day, and going on the trampoline for 30-60 mins a day, and walking 30 mins a day, how long will it take to lose weight, and you will start to notice, and how much will you lose, thankyou :)x

Answer
I hate it when people dont just answer your question they give you lectures so here it is. first of all i dont know your height or weight. so im guessing your average because now a days average people think they are overweight when they are not. smh. if you eat 150 calories a day because i have done the same thing! you will lose a great amount of weight fast. im average, and i dropped 5 pounds a week just by eating 500 calories a day and drinking 2 liters of water, water is reallyyyy good for you and weight loss that day you might feel bloated or fatter but you lose it at night and you wake up feeling way skinner ( because you are) also i didnt exercise during that time if you added the extra exercise your talking about that would give you a extra 2 pounds. dont say 150 just do 200 even make it fruits veggies because they are low calories and you can eat alot of them and be more full even add a piece of bread for some carbs every other day. im guessing you will lose 7 pounds in a week with that diet maybe even more at first with extra water weight. and it sucks at first but then when you start seeing results you feel less hungry and better about yourself. Good luck! im trying to lose 7 pounds in the next 6 days. im doing about the same thing as you but now im going to start exercise.

Thank you in advance!

Trampoline springs left in a bucket of water throughout winter?

Gilly

We take down the trampoline every winter and my dad forgot to put the bucket of springs back to the shed. They were left outside and it rained so it was covered with water. They're not still usable right? How much will it cost to replace all the springs? :\

Answer
=== idf you could just soak the rust off the springs with gasoline and try the springs you may discover that those springs are still usable .... otherwise,,,, get the manufacturer name and email them and ask for the closest place to purchase or get them new springs shipped to you
