what are some enjoyable things to do in denver colorado?

Brittney
im flying out to denver in a few days and somewhat have no idea what to do while im there. iv just always wanted to go and i had some extra money n decided, what the heck. so here i am.
id like to go hiking and see the mountains, id also like to check out the night life. actually anything i could possibly do that i don't have access to in atlanta would be nice.
so therefor if anyone knows of anything, your input would be extremely appreciated.
trails, tips on hiking alone, tips at all.
im not planning on staying in denver, i plan to explore as much of colorado as i can while im there.
iv got two weeks so ANY suggestions would be great.
